WWE News: Reason Why Kofi Kingston Won’t Become WWE Champion At Wrestlemania 35

Vince McMahon chose to disappoint Kofi Kingston fans, once again on this past episode of Smackdown. He had a confrontation with The New Day members where The Boss forced the B-plus player to compete in a sixth match of the night. Daniel Bryan defeated him in that contest to keep him off the main event. So his chances of competing at Wrestlemania title match became a zero.

Vince McMahon had an otherwise thought after hearing out the logic delivered by The New Day, the previous week. Also, he remained attentive towards the WWE Universe. So he handed over a chance to Kofi Kingston with a clause attached to it. Kofi-Mania can run wild if he can defeat five superstars in a Gauntlet match which was an impossible task.

Even after he failed to do the unthinkable, Kofi Kingston will certainly make his Wrestlemania title match a reality. This is what the fans want to see and hence WWE will provide this to the fans. But the question is whether a miracle happens at the grandest stage of the year when we crown a new champion who defeats Daniel Bryan.

Brad Shepard reported on the Oh You Didn’t Know podcast on the potential outcome of the WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania 35. Daniel Bryan vs. Kofi Kingston will take place for the title, as per him. But there’s a piece of bad news on the outcome of the match as we the challenger may not become the new champion.

The veteran wrestling journalist clarified that the WWE creative team wants Daniel Bryan to be a bonafide heel of the WWE. It’s a long-term plan to make him a ‘super’ villain. Hence, we can expect to have Daniel Bryan retain the WWE championship at Wrestlemania 35. So the ultimate fairytale may not become true. Here’s what the source stated, (courtesy sportskeeda.com)

“So that will be a very interesting situation to monitor because it’s another case where just by accident someone organically got over in a moment and took the momentum and has done some great things and will WWE give them the ball or is this just an opportunity for a couple of featured matches on a big stage and nothing more?”

There’s still a chance for Kofi Kingston fans since WWE creative team change plans quite often. In case, the constant support keeps on running like a wild-fire then the making a new champion may become a reality. But for now, Daniel Bryan is still penciled in to retain at Wrestlemania 35. So his reign might continue for a long time.
