This week’s WWE RAW witnessed an interesting finish featuring Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt. After months of frustrations, the Universal Champion was able to seek redemption against the man who has made his life miserable for the past several weeks with back to back attacks. Rollins set the Firefly Funhouse on fire to make Wyatt homeless. The move was not popular by any means considering that The Fiend avatar of Bray Wyatt is the hottest ongoing gimmick around the WWE Universe.
Reason Why The Fiend Didn’t Win Universal Title At Hell In A Cell
Why WWE Hosted 2019 Draft Over Raw & Smackdown
Seth Rollins received a tremendous amount of boos after burning down the Firefly Funhouse. A dark match took place after RAW went off the air where he competed against Bray Wyatt. It didn’t see him as a babyface champion as the crowd was not in his favor, at all. There was a ton of heat on Rollins from the Denver audience and the IWC agreed with that.

The reaction was pretty much predictable from the creative standpoint at a time when Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt’s title match at Hell in a Cell witnessed a gibberish finish. But they still went ahead to destroy the Firefly Funhouse as to remove Wyatt from Monday Night Raw.
As seen in the Draft, The Fiend Bray Wyatt will now be a part of Friday Night SmackDown, moving forward. During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that it was solely an idea to write Bray Wyatt off the flagship show and give him a fresh start on SmackDown. FOX officials always wanted this to happen, as reported earlier. Here’s more from the veteran wrestling journalist,
“I just figured it was their way of writing it off which surprised me because I wouldn’t have thought that they wanted to write that off, but they did. I guess they don’t want it on SmackDown and Wyatt’s going to SmackDown and that was a way of writing him off Raw and yeah.”
It’s still very surprising to see WWE destroying the Firefly Funhouse though as it was giving them a ton of merchandise selling over the past few months. This could have increased at a time when Halloween is just around the corner. It looks like FOX’s sports-centric programming might not have enough room for Wyatt’s puppet friends.
Meltzer also reported that Seth Rollins burning down Bray Wyatt Firefly Fun House was not a double turn by any means. Wyatt will continue to be a heel whereas Seth Rollins is still a babyface being the face of the WWE brand and the Universal Champion. But he has surely entered the league of John Cena and Roman Reigns who received boos despite portraying a universal babyface character.
