Speaking of the best match of his career, he mentioned a surprising one which was not a marquee match. Roman Reigns recalled the WWE Extreme Rules 2015 Last Man Standing match with Big Show, which saw him secure the victory after a battle that went for almost twenty minutes. This one is special to him because there were not much hypes around it but it was a tough fight that he enjoyed. It brought out the best out of him, (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)

“It’s special because it wasn’t a title match. It wasn’t like this critical stepping stone for me, but I just enjoyed it and I did learn a lot from him. It was with the Big Show. It was a Last Man Standing match and it was in Chicago. It was one of those matches that I think the expectations were low and we just knocked it out of the park. We had Chicago going nuts. We tore that place apart. So that’s one that I think a lot of people wouldn’t think of, that I do hold dearly to me. And it’s cool to be able to be in there with a giant, too.”

Fans threw an interesting question doing a comparison between him and his predecessor, John Cena. In response to the question who’s better, Roman Reigns simply chose him because he defeated the Cenation Leader, fair and square. It happened in a match at WWE No Mercy PPV in 2017 that remained one of the best matches of this decade. Also, it was the much-anticipated ‘passing the torch’ match for him,

“I beat him. There’s no need to argue here because I beat him. He’s great. He’s really good, but I beat him.”

Roman Reigns Clears Air Whether His Leukemia Battle Was Scripted

From John Cena, the fans moved on to another predecessor of him, The Rock who’s also his cousin. For years now, the match remained speculation among the fans. But it never came to fruition owing to the busy movie schedule of The Great One. Roman Reigns said he will always be down to compete in a high-caliber match like this. But given how busy the Hollywood star is, it’s unlikely that we can have that match shortly,

“I think, obviously with the star that he is, where he is in his career, it would be huge. It would be great. But, you know, we’re family, so it has to make sense. And free the guy up. Can we get him a break? Can he take a day off? If he can get a week off we might be able to make it happen. So… doubtful.”
