The Undertaker will appear, next in WWE on the night where the company returns to the New York City to host a TV taping. As noted by the WWE, The Undertaker will be in attendance for the September 10th SmackDown episode which takes place in the most famous arena of the world, Madison Square Garden. This is for the first time in more than 15 years that the company will host a TV show in this venue.

So we have guessed that there should be some special arrangements for this upcoming night which will be memorable than ever. We also need to note that Monday Night Raw will also emanate from the same venue just one night ago. So there would be galore of stars as well on the show. But the question remains what The Undertaker would do on the scene?
The interesting part of WWE’s announcement was that The Undertaker was never in the returnees’ list when WWE chose MSG as the host venue for September 9th and 10th shows. So could be there be an additional reason so to why The Deadman will have to appear on the blue brand? A recent report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter gave an update on this situation.

As reported by the source, WWE had to include The Undertaker at the very last moment due to ‘slower than expected MSG ticket sales’. But there’s still no word yet on why WWE waited until this past week to start advertising Taker for the ‘ MSG event. As of now, the plan for The Phenome is just to show up but not wrestling.
Here’ more from wrestlingINC.com in this matter,
“Taker is not currently scheduled for the WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view on September 14, despite the MSG episode being the go-home show for the Clash. It will be interesting to see why Taker was booked for the MSG SmackDown, and it’s possible that they shoot some kind of angle to build to his return on the SmackDown 20th Anniversary show from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, which will be the first Fox episode on Friday, October 4.”
The Undertaker will also not wrestle in a match on the MSG SmackDown or the SmackDown 20th Anniversary special. But considering that WWE creative team changes their plan frequently, it’s safe to say it won’t be a surprise if The Phenome does end up competing on that night. Even 15 years ago, he was the main event of the MSG show and might just find himself in the same position.
