For quite a several weeks, Matt Hardy has been coming up on live TV with the transitioned format. He has reached a broken phase where his mental stability is in doubt. It is a storyline angle from his infamous in-ring gimmick from the Impact Wrestling Promotion. Back in 2016, he made the ‘Broken’ gimmick quite famous with some weird characteristics.
The WWE Universe also wanted to see this funny character in the WWE for a long time, and the WWE Creative Team finally gave a green signal to it. However, since they do not like to copy things from the other promotions, they changed the name of the gimmick to a Woken one. Matt Hardy is performing under this new name on WWE Raw.
However, we did not see him wrestling in a match or debuting his new music until last night’s WWE Raw. As confirmed earlier by the WWE, the 43year-old veteran returned to in-ring competition after November. The crowd in Memphis, Tennessee was more than excited to see him back in the squared circle.

His opponent for the night was Curt Hawkins who was standing with 152 losses in a row under his name. After yesterday night, it reached to 153. Matt took less time to pin Hawkins with his pendant move, Side Effect and then connecting with the Twist of Fate to pick up the pinfall win.
There was something more stored on the show following the match, as Bray Wyatt appeared inside the ring and have a confrontation. These two did not talk a single to word to each other. Instead, they had various kinds of laughs to end the segment. It is likely that feud between these two will pick up the pace once we reach the Wrestlemania season.

It is also to be noted that the first matchup between Woken Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt has been announced to take place on the first-ever 205 Live tour that will take place just before the Royal Rumble PPV. Based on the reactions of the crowd towards it, a match might be booked in PPV, as well.
