Brie and Nikki Bella were announced as two of the many returnees for this year’s WWE women’s Royal Rumble match. Since The Bellas haven’t wrestled in almost three years and since they’re two of the most popular superstars of the modern era, fans were more than just excited to see them back.
Especially, Nikki Bella was thought to be retired due to a much-touted neck injury. But the Rumble return clarified that she is now medically cleared to compete. All these efforts to be back in action weren’t just to feature in a one-off match and hence we expect her to compete in more matches, down the road.
Eventually, when the former Divas Champion gets back in action, she will garner attention from the wrestling world as well as the mainstream world like she always does. But for the time being, she’s been dragged by the fans on social media for unwanted reasons.

Nikki Bella cleared for more in-ring action
As seen in the recent past, Brie and Nikki Bella discussed their big return from The Rumble on The Bellas Podcast. The two addressed whether this was a legit “comeback” or not. While the twins confirmed that they are capable of competing in future matches, their next match may not take place, imminently.
“In the world of any professional sport, people always make comebacks, but what’s beautiful about WWE is that we can make comebacks as many times as we want as long as our bodies let us and doctors (let us). I’ve officially got cleared.”
Nikki Bella alongside her twin sister was initially rumored to go after the Women’s Tag Team Titles at Wrestlemania 38. But WWE scrapped those planning. There’s no update on when The Bellas will eventually return to go after the tag championship belts.
