This week’s WWE NXT 2.0 episode was touted to be a championship night as three titles were on the line on the show. One of them crowned new champions for the vacated tag team titles while two champions successfully retained. Also, a top WWE Raw female superstar arrived on the show that took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Check out the results from the show,
– Cameron Grimes (c) defeated Solo Sikoa to retain WWE NXT North American Championship in the opening contest. Grimes accidentally hit the referee on the way down to the mat, to take the referee down, and hence he didn’t see Trick Williams interfere in the match. Solo superkick-ed Trick back to the floor and the distraction allowed Grimes to run with the Cave-In to Solo for the pin to win.
After the match, former WWE NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes came out and wanted his Title rematch. The confrontation eventually ended with Carmelo and Trick Williams beating down Grimes and Sikoa.
United Kingdom WWE Stadium Show Officially Announced After 3 Decades
– WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker appeared in a promo session to inform that his father Rick Steiner is now safe at home after being kidnapped by Joe Gacy and Harland, last week. He then called out Gacy for his misdeeds. Gacy appeared on the tron and revealed that he burnt Rick’s Hall of Fame ring.
– Von Wagner defeated Ikemen Jiro in the next match. After kicking out of the Swanton Bomb, Von lifted Jiro high on his shoulders and then drove him into the mat for the pin to win.
– Nikkita Lyons was backstage with McKenzie to give an interview when Lash Legend interfered and took her out with a big boot.
WWE NXT 2.0 Results (12/04/22): Women’s Title Match
– Mandy Rose (c) defeated Dakota Kai to retain WWE NXT Women’s Championship. Gigi Dolin distracted the referee, as Jayne reached through the ropes to hand the championship belt to Rose but Kai kicked it from her hand. As Kai turned, Rose nailed a jumping knee to the face for the pin to win.
After the match, Wendy Choo came out and Wendy Choo suddenly appeared on the apron with a pair of Super Soaker water guns. She sprayed Toxic Attraction with water.
WWE Raw: New Challenger Revealed For Women’s Championship
– Cora Jade stated in a promo that she wants to be WWE NXT Women’s Champion and have her name etched in the record books next to women she grew up idolizing like AJ Lee, Sasha Banks and Natalya. The music interrupted as Natalya came out and introduced herself. Cora said Natalya was the first action figure she bought and she had also talked about messaging her on Twitter.
Natalya said she looked backstage at WWE NXT 2.0 women’s roster and Cora could be the future of the division, but that would be a very bleak future. Natalya then attacked Cora and made her tap out in a Sharpshooter.
– Xyon Quinn defeated Draco Anthony in a short matchup by connecting with two forearm maneuvers.
– Tatum Paxley challenged Natalya to a match for next week. Natalya accepted and also put the other women in the WWE NXT locker room on notice.
– Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta convinced their respective partners, Dexter Lumis and Duke Hudson to become a Tag Team.
– Gauntlet Match for the Vacant NXT Tag Team Titles: The Creed Brothers vs. Pretty Deadly vs. Legado del Fantasma vs. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen vs. Grayson Waller and Sanga.
The end saw Pretty Deadly defeat Creed Brothers win the vacant WWE NXT Tag Team Championships. Brutus went for the forearm bomb to Kit but the referee didn’t see Elton drop Brutus with a cheap shot. The legal Prince hit a double-team modified neckbreaker to Brutus for the pin to win the vacant titles. They celebrated to send WWE NXT off the air.
