On-screen WWE Official Sonya Deville has become the first challenger for WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair for the title.
As seen on this week’s episode of WWE Raw, Belair defeated Queen Zelina Vega in a non-title match after which Deville came out to the ring with an open contract to challenge Belair for her title. This would make her the first title match opponent for Belair since capturing the title from Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38, earlier this month.

Deville called for a drum roll and gave a grand introduction before proceeding to attack Belair from behind. A beatdown followed as she revealed herself to be Belair’s next opponent for the title. Another WWE Official Adam Pearce later accused her of abusing power in a backstage segment.
Deville said that she will be the first WWE official to answer an open challenge. Plus, she also plans on shocking the world when she wins the WWE RAW Women’s Title. Pearce was also warned by Deville that there’s nothing he can do to stop her from challenging Belair and thereby be a part of the history-making win.

Deville also took a shot at Pearce with the following statement, “Don’t be jealous that I’m still in my prime.”
Following WWE Raw, Sarah Schreiber caught up with Belair for her comments on Deville’s attack and she had the following to say,
“I stay read so I don’t have to get ready, and while Sonya Deville has been wearing suits and making matches for a year, I’ve been wearing titles and making history. So, let’s do it.”
While Deville has been working as a WWE Official on TV, she has worked in matches in several TV and live events, as of late. Before Wrestlemania 38. She feuded with Ronda Rousey and current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Naomi during WrestleMania 38 Season to produce a tag team match at Elimination Chamber PPV. But that was a storyline from Smackdown instead of WWE Raw.
Deville has come up short against Aliyah at four WWE live events in late March while the upcoming bout with Belair will mark Deville’s first TV singles match since losing to Rousey in a singles bout on March 4 SmackDown. The WWE Raw Women’s Title match hasn’t been made, official till now but this should happen at Wrestlemania Backlash 2022.
