The Storyline builds for a special episode, termed WWE NXT Spring Breakin’ kicked off on last night’s episode. The rivalry over the NXT Title continued on the show which saw a big debut in the form of the former ROH Women’s Champion. Also, top WWE Smackdown superstar Natalya was in attendance at the show that took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Check out the results,
– WWE NXT 2.0 kicked off with Pretty Deadly celebrating their NXT Tag Team Title win from last week. Grizzled Young Veterans, Gibson and Drake came out and wanted to know why they weren’t included in the Gauntlet match, last week. Legado Del Fantasma faction then attacked Gibson and Drake on the ramp. They brawled around the ring area until officials broke them up.
WWE Raw: Multiple New Champions Crowned On April 18 Episode
– WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker came out on the show through the crowd and called out Joe Gacy for kidnapping his father. Gacy showed up on all the screens and told Bron to find him, forcing Bron to leave the ring.
– Tiffany Stratton defeated Sarray in the opening contest of the night after hitting her opponent with the second rope modified Vader Bomb.
– Grayson Waller defeated Sanga in the next match. Waller slid out of a chokeslam attempt and sent Sanga face-first into the ring post. Waller pinned Sanga with his Stunner finisher.
Roman Reigns Unlikely To Drop Undisputed WWE Universal Title Until 2023
– Legado Del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro) defeated Gibson and Drake in a tag team match on WWE NXT 2.0. Toro delivered a big DDT to Drake and launched Wilde out to Gibson on the floor. Wilde and Toro then hit a double-team move to Drake for the pinfall win.
– Wes Lee said in a backstage promo that the last few weeks have been chaotic and he feels lost. Xyon Quinn interrupted and challenged him to a match.
WWE NXT 2.0 Results (19/04/22): Ex North American Champion in action
– Carmelo Hayes defeated Santos Escobar in a singles contest after two Mobsters working for Tony D’ Angelo attacked Escobar with a Crowbar. The referee didn’t see this as Trick Williams distracted him. One of the mystery men rolled Escobar back into the ring as Hayes nailed the top rope leg drop for the pin to win.
– Natalya defeated Tatum Paxley in her WWE NXT in-ring return after almost 8 years. After submitting her opponent with the Sharpshooter, Nattie proceeded to mock Cora Jade. Later in a backstage segment, Nikkita Lyons said that she’s coming for Natalya.
– Xyon Quinn defeated Wes Lee in a short match with the big running elbow strike for the pin to win.
– Roxanne Perez defeated WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Jacey Jane in her debut match. Perez was originally supposed to debut, next week but it was preponed after Toxic Attraction challenged him to match. Wendy Choo caused a distraction by destroying Toxic Attraction’s dressing room. Perez hit a Destroyer on a distracted Jayne to get the pinfall win.
– Pretty Deadly (c) defeated Dexter Lumis and Duke Hudson to retain WWE NXT Tag Team Championships in the main event match. Hudson was the one to get pinned by Elton Prince via a roll-up.
– After the match, the lights went out and Joe Gacy appeared on top of a platform. Gacy called Bron Breakker out and stated that he will return his father Rick Steiner’s WWE Hall Of Fame ring if Bron gives him a WWE NXT Championship match.
Bron came out and accepted the challenge. Gacy returned the ring and then pushed Bron off the balcony. Some hooded figures surrounded him and they tended to carry him away as the show went off the air.
