WWE NXT 2.0 Results (21/06/22): North American Title Defense; Solo Sikoa In Action

This week’s WWE NXT main event saw the North American Title hanging in the balance as Carmelo Hayes defended against Tony D’Angelo. Solo Sikoa wanted to make some momentums towards his journey to get to the same mid-card title while Alba Fyre was also seen in action on the show that took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Grayson Waller defeated Solo Sikoa in the opening contest of WWE NXT. Despite a pre-match attack, Sikoa missed a super kick as Waller flipped out of the ring and ran back with a pop-up cutter for the pin to win.

WWE Money In The Bank 2022: Two New Championship Matches Announced

Kayden Carter and Katana Chance defeated Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz in a tag team matchup. Feroz shoved Chance aside but Chance slammed her to the mat. Carter tossed Leon out of the ring, went to the top, and hit a 450-splash on Feroz for the three-count.

Wes Lee was cutting a promo in the ring but he was interrupted by WWE NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes’ ally Trick Williams. The verbal war set up the situation of an impromptu matchup but Trick said that he will face Lee on his own terms.

Roderick Strong and Damon Kemp defeated Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro (with Two Stacks and Dimes) in the next match on WWE NXT. With the referee not watching, Dimes tripped Toro with a crowbar as Strong took advantage and dumped Toro on his head with his pendant double knee gutbuster for the pinfall win.

WWE NXT 2.0 Results (21/06/22): Toxic Attraction appears

WWE NXT Women’s Champion, Mandy Rose, alongside the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne came out to the ring to cut a promo. Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade interrupted them but they were also joined by Kayden Carter and Katana Chance for a shot at the women’s tag team titles eventually, the two potential challengers’ teams fought out as the champions looked on.

Cameron Grimes defeated Edris Enofe (with Malik Blade). After evading a double stomp, Grimes planted Enofe with a flatliner followed by the Cave In for the pin to win.

Von Wagner defeated Brooks Jensen in the next match on WWE NXT. Wagner caught his opponent with an arm-first DDT and then planted him with a back-body drop for the win.

Alba Fyre defeated Lash Legend via DQ after Lash used a baseball bat to hit Fyre.

In the main event match, Carmelo Hayes (C) (with Trick Williams) defeated Tony D’Angelo (with Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, Two Stacks, and Dimes) to retain his championship. After downing Hayes with a lariat, Tony asked Escobar for the crowbar but Escobar didn’t give it to him. Hayes came from behind and rolled up Tony for the win.

Escobar, Wilde and Del Toro and D’Angelo, Stacks, and Dimes had a fallout to end the show.
