Top WWE Raw Superstar AJ Styles will make his WWE NXT in-ring singles debut, next week. He will go up against Grayson Waller to culminate in a feud that’s ongoing for the past few weeks. Styles and Waller have made appearances on each other’s shows to cut promos.
Then on this week’s WWE NXT New Year’s Evil special, things got physical between the two and Styles then issued a challenge that was accepted for next week. The match is likely to be the main event match for the January 11 episode.
WWE NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2022 Edition Officially Announced
A “Crowbar on a Pole” match between Pete Dunne and Tony D’Angelo has been confirmed for the upcoming episode for next week. This feud has also been going on for the past few weeks. Dunne defeated D’Angelo on the December 21 show, but then D’Angelo attacked him after the match with a crowbar. This is why the crowbar will be involved during their match. The first one to snatch it from the pole will be declared the winner.
Santos Escobar vs. Xyon Quinn rivalry will also continue as they will meet in a rematch from the December 7 episode of WWE NXT, which was won by Escobar. Elektra Lopez announced during this week’s New Year’s Evil that she will leave with the winner of next week’s match.
A six-woman tag team action has also been announced for next week’s WWE NXT 2.0 show. Wendy Choo will team up with Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell to take on Amari Miller, Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter in this six-woman tag action. A backstage segment from New Year’s Evil set up this match. Choo has appeared in recent NXT segments but she spoke for the first time, last night. Choo is the former Mei Ying from Tian Sha who will now compete under this new in-ring character.

Joe Gacy and Harland will feature in a tag team match while the undefeated Solo Sikoa has also been announced. With that, the full match card of the January 11 episode of WWE NXT stands as follows,
