WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2021 Announced; Title Match Set

WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2021 has been announced for Tuesday, October 26 on the USA Network. This won’t be a separate PPV but rather a special weekly episode of NXT programming with this old-school gimmick. The show was announced by NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa during a promo segment.

The main event of Halloween Havoc will see Bron Breakker challenge WWE NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa for the title, as of this writing but the situation could change in the coming weeks.

This week’s NXT 2.0 episode saw Ciampa issue a challenge to any potential opponents to face him at Halloween Havoc, asking who has big enough balls to take the belt away from him. Breakker answered that call and the challenge was accepted, right away. This would mark the first title defense for Ciampa after he won it in a fatal-4-way, a few weeks ago.

Then in a later segment, Joe Gacy wanted a shot at the NXT Championship. Tommaso Ciampa proposed they will compete in a match, next week. The stipulation of that match will be that if Gacy wins, then he will be added to the NXT Title Match at NXT Halloween Havoc, making it a Triple Threat. Gacy was in action on this week’s NXT, as well who defeated Ikemon Ziro in a singles contest.

WWE NXT North American to be defended, next week

WWE NXT North American Champion Isaiah “Swerve” Scott will go through his first title defense on next Tuesday’s NXT 2.0 episode. This week, Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Elektra Lopez, Joaquin Wilde, Raul Mendoza) cut backstage promos on Hit Row (Swerve, “B-Fab” Briana Brandy, “Top Dolla” AJ Francis, Ashante “Thee” Adonis) to continue their feud. Escobar then issued the challenge for a title match.

Swerve later appeared in another promo segment to make the match, official for next week. Swerve won WWE NXT North American Title from Bronson Reed back on the June 29 NXT episode. He has not defended the strap since then who only wrestled during the six-man tag team match on the August 24 NXT show where Legado del Fantasma defeated Hit Row. During the Draft, Hit Row was drafted to Smackdown brand.

Next week’s WWE NXT 2.0 episode will also feature a tag team match with the lineup of Ridge Holland and Pete Dunne vs. Von Wagner and Kyle O’Reilly. A new episode of “Lashing Out” with Lash Legend will also be airing on that October 12 episode.
