As the build for “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” Night 1 & Night 2 begins, several matches and segments have been announced for next week’s WWE NXT episode. LA Knight, former Impact star Eli Drake will make his in-ring debut, next Wednesday night. WWE has not announced his opponent, but it seems like that he would wrestle Bronson Reed.
WWE could always announce another debut opponent for Knight, but Reed could interfere given their current storyline. Knight helped Cameron Grimes defeat Reed last week, while this week, Reed attacked Knight in a backstage segment.
The Leon Ruff vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott feud will continue as the two will compete in a singles match on WWE NXT. Ruff delivered a warning to Swerve via an aggressive promo to set the tone for the match that was later announced.

Austin Theory vs. Dexter Lumis will also go down, next week. Lumis has been feuding with The Way – Theory 7 Gargano for several weeks. Theory still thought he’s a good guy after that three-day kidnapping. But that perception changed, this week as WWE NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano managed to turn Theory against Lumis, to set up the upcoming match.

WWE NXT UK Superstar Jordan Devlin will also return to the main NXT brand next week, bringing his Cruiserweight Title with him. He’s set to have a face-off against NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar. Devlin appeared on this week’s show via a pre-recorded promo from the airport in Ireland to tease a potential title vs. title match for “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” set for WrestleMania 37 Week.
It has been reported that Devlin vs. Escobar could happen to unify the Cruiserweight Titles at the upcoming TakeOver and it could be confirmed on next week’s show.
WWE has also announced that Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa vs. Imperium’s Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner will go down, next week. It has been teased that a possible reunion with Thatcher and his former Ringkampf partners could happen in the near future as we expect some progression in the storyline as we head to the TakeOver event.
