After a shocking outcome was observed at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2022 event as Raw Superstar Dolph Ziggler retained his belt, a return match was hosted with his current challenger Bron Breakker on Raw. This time around, Bron picked up the win to become the new champion on the NXT brand.
The post-WrestleMania 38 edition of WWE RAW saw Bron defeat Dolph Ziggler to capture the WWE NXT Championship. Robert Roode was neutralized by Bron. Ziggler went for a superkick but missed it and received a spear. Bron then scooped him for a powerslam to secure the pinfall win.
WWE Raw Superstar Makes Surprise Return On Post-Wrestlemania 38 Episode
As noted, this was a rematch from this past Saturday’s WWE NXT Stand & Deliver event, which saw Ziggler retain over Breakker due to some interferences by Robert Roode. Ziggler also used an exposed turnbuckle to capitalize.
But just a day later, his title run came to an end as Bron’s second run with the NXT Title started on Raw. Ziggler won the title back on the March 8 NXT Roadblock episode in a Triple Threat also featuring Tommaso Ciampa and held it for a recognized 26 days.
New title match announced for WWE NXT
A rematch from the 2022 Stand & Deliver has been announced for this week’s WWE NXT 2.0 episode. This past Saturday night, Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai captured the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles from Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne on the Kickoff pre-show. WWE has since announced that Toxic Attraction will get their rematch on tonight’s weekly episode of NXT 2.0.
“Now just three days removed from their victory in Dallas, the duo will defend their new titles in a rematch with former champions Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne. Can Gonzalez & Kai hang on to the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles, or will Toxic Attraction prove their loss was nothing more than a fluke? Tune in Tuesday night to NXT 2.0 at 8/7 C on USA to find out!” WWE noted in their preview for NXT.
Via Saturday’s win, Kai and Gonzalez have become two-time WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. They also were the inaugural tag champs in 2021 but then lost the belts on the same night.
