Top WWE Raw Superstar AJ Styles will be seen performing at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil 2022. This week’s NXT 2.0 show kicked off with Grayson Waller taunting AJ as the ongoing feud progressed.
Waller bragged about how he is the Breakout NXT Superstar of the year and revealed that Dexter Lumis was not cleared to compete in a scheduled match. A replacement was sent out in the form of Odyssey Jones but Waller ended up winning that match after exposing the turnbuckle.
Once the match was over, AJ appeared on the titantron and had some tough words for Waller, saying that he will be at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil next Tuesday. It’s not clear whether he will compete against Waller on the upcoming show. As noted, the feud has been ongoing since last week and both the superstars appeared on each other’s shows to elevate the program.

WALTER from WWE NXT UK and RAW Tag Team Champion Riddle are set to compete in a six-man tag team match at NXT New Year’s Evil 2022.
As seen on this week’s NXT, Riddle was scheduled to appear with MSK’s Wes Lee and Nash Carter as they called out Imperium’s Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner for a shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles. Riddle appeared, live via satellite, praising MSK for their efforts. Lee and Carter then had words with Aichner and Barthel and challenged them to a title shot, but WALTER interrupted from the big screen.

As WALTER was blasting MSK with his tough words, Riddle returned on the big screen to support his MSK Bros. Riddle then issued a challenge for a six-man tag team match at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil, and WALTER accepted. WALTER ended the promo by calling Riddle a “barefoot nerd.” Next week’s match marks WALTER’s first WWE TV match since losing the NXT UK Title to Ilja Dragunov at NXT TakeOver 36 during SummerSlam Weekend in late August.
