One-half of the WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions is reportedly dealing with an injury starting with this week. PWInsider is reporting that Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin is dealing with an injury scare that occurred during the most recent set of NXT 2.0 tapings. It should be noted that WWE’s colorful brand hosted an additional set of tapings after this week’s TV episode to air in the coming weeks.
In one of those tapings, Dolin was teaming with WWE NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose and the other half of tag champs, Jacy Jayne to take on Cora Jade, Indi Hartwell, and Roxanne Perez. This was the final match of the batch of tapings that will likely air on June 14th. Not only did the champions come up short in this non-title match but also Dolin has likely picked up the aforementioned injury.

Going by the source, Jade reportedly hit Dolin with a cannonball senton before getting a quick pinfall to end the match. The quick finish could have been done to cover up the injury about which details are yet to arrive. Dolin received an ovation from the crowd in attendance for WWE NXT 2.0 tapings as she was helped to the back.
WWE NXT women’s tag champs enjoying their second title reign
Later that night, Dolin featured in a promo alongside Rose and Jayne for a promo that was likely filmed for the June 21st edition of WWE NXT 2.0. No physical involvement from Toxic Attraction was noted during this instance as the report just suggested that Dolin did not appear to be in any kind of pain or distress. It rather suggested that she “may have just gotten the wind knocked out of her.”
A strong heel champion like Dolin getting shelved due to injury would be devastating and this could also come as an obstacle for the WWE NXT creative team given that NXT Great American Bash buildup is underway. We can only hope that the Toxic Attraction member’s injury isn’t something serious.
During the post-Stand & Deliver edition of WWE NXT 2.0, Dolin and Jayne captured the tag titles by defeating Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai. The finish saw Wendy Choo trying to interfere on behalf of Kai and Gonzalez, but NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose took her out while Dolin and Jayne double-teamed on Gonzalez and earned the pinfall win via the Toxic Shock move. They are currently in the middle of their second reign as the champion.
