Brock Lesnar is a one-of-a-kind athlete in the WWE who could be touted as the most dominant name in the modern generation of professional wrestling. There won’t be another one especially given WWE has stopped making new superstars out of the upcoming talents. However, they do intend to push a top name similar to that of The Beast.

Brock Lesnar is a mentor to Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson whose excellent performance at the Tokyo Olympics helped him to get fame in the mainstream league. Being a well-known name in the world of sports, WWE made an extra effort to sign him under a contract. Vince McMahon personally met him to make the deal happen.

“Gable Steveson will also be fast-tracked to the main roster. The idea is for him to be another Brock Lesnar.”

Steveson previously admitted how Brock Lesnar has been a huge influence for him to get the signing done with WWE. The nine-time WWE Champion’s career path is something that he would obviously like to follow. Plus, both these two names are billed from Minnesota which keeps them close. They also had training sessions and Steveson is also familiar with Lesnar’s long-term associate Paul Heyman.

Following his win at Summer Olympics, Steveson made a brief appearance at WWE SummerSlam 2021 in a guest capacity. Just a few days later, in September 2021, he officially signed with the company. Then during the Draft in October, he was picked by the Raw brand but there’s still no update available on how the company intends to use him on TV.

Steveson was supposed to be on the card of Wrestlemania 38, performing in his debut match for the WWE but that wasn’t the case. Brock Lesnar, on the other hand, featured in the main event of the night by taking on Roman Reigns in a title unification match.
