WWE NXT Results (14/09/21): Title Matches; InDex Wedding

A revamped edition of WWE NXT aired this week with the highlight being the crowning of a new champion for the brand. Also, WWE Universe got to be part of the culmination of the love saga between Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell in their matrimony on the episode that took place at the Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

– Bron Breakker (Bronson Rechsteiner, son of WWF Legend Rick Steiner) defeated LA Knight in the first-ever match of WWE NXT 2.0. Breakker pressed Knight high in the air and dropped him into a powerslam for the pin to win.

– Imperium’s Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner defeated Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen in a tag team contest. Briggs was sent to the steel steps by Barthel. Aichner took advantage of the distraction and hit a double underhook superplex from the top on Brookes to get the win.

– Hit Row faction’s B Fab defeated Katrina Cortez in a singles contest. Fab connected with a Rude Awakening neckbreaker on her opponent to get the win. After the match, Hit Row’s other members WWE NXT North American Champion Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, “Top Dolla” AJ Francis called out Legado Del Fantasma faction. They came out and Elektra Lopez wanted to fight B Fab.

WWE Draft 2021 Confirmed To Return In October

– Carmelo Hayes was in the ring and said he has a target on his back. He brought Trick Williams to be his backup. Carmelo said he’s The Chosen One who will be a Champion, one day. Duke Hudson came out and told Carmelo that he got lucky against him, and that won’t happen again. Carmelo and Trick attacked Duke and laid him out in the ring.

WWE NXT Results (14/09/21): Mandy Rose makes a statement

– Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter defeated Gigi Dolin and Jacey Jane in a tag team match via DQ after Mandy Rose interfered. After the match, they beat down Kacy and Kayden, but Sarray made the save to set up another tag team match on WWE NXT 2.0.

– Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, and Jacey Jane defeated Sarray, Kacy Catanzaro, and Kayden Carter in this six-woman tag team match. Rose, who debuted a new look during the show nailed Carter with pumping knee strike for the pin to win.

– Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland attacked Kyle O’Reilly in his dressing room. William Regal announced that Kyle is out of the Fatal-4 Way match for WWE NXT Championship, and hence he was replacing him with Von Wagner (son of WWF Veteran Beau Beverly).

– Ridge Holland defeated Drake Maverick in a short match with his Northern Grit finisher.

– Creed Brothers defeated Dan Jarmon and Trevor Skelly in a tag match. The two Creed brothers dominated the match until getting the pinfall win. After the match, Malcolm Bivens introduced Diamond Mine’s newest member Ivy Nile. Kushida came out and set up a WWE NXT Cruiserweight Title match with Roderick Strong for next week.

– Tommaso Ciampa defeated Pete Dunne, LA Knight, and Von Wagner in a Fatal-4 Way Match to win WWE NXT Championship. Dunne was taken out with a Superplex by Wagner who also connected with a big power move on Knight. Ciampa broke the pin attempt and ran with the Fairy Tale Ending on Knight for the pin to win.

– WWE NXT 20.0 main event segment witnessed the wedding ceremony Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell. The segment ended without any obstacles as the newly married couple kissed each other to end it.

Backstage, Bron Breakker walked up and congratulated Ciampa for his title win. Bron’s attitude changed a few seconds later letting Ciampa seething about it. The two had a face-off to send the show off-air.
