After quite a long hiatus, Veer Mahaan returned to television via this week’s episode of WWE NXT on USA Network. Veer Mahaan made his “NXT” TV return during Tuesday night’s episode.
During the show, Mahaan expectedly reunited with his former WWE NXT tag team partner Sanga to indicate that they could be back as a team. In a backstage segment, Sanga told Nathan Frazer that he should be in the North American Championship ladder match at the upcoming Halloween Havoc event. Since Sanga wasn’t part of the match, he told Frazer that if he can’t win the match, then Frazer should.

After he said that, Mahaan walked in a surprising capacity but didn’t utter a word. This was his first appearance on WWE NXT since his departure last year. Mahaan originally made his WWE debut on NXT in 2019 under his real name, Rinku Singh.
It was then that he was part of the tag team, Indus Sher, with Sanga, real-name Saurav Gurjar. Mahaan then made his main roster debut on Raw against Drew McIntyre on July 26, 2021, to form an alliance with Jinder Mahal and Shanky.
Veer Mahaan And Sanga: Indian Tag Team Coming To WWE Main Roster?
Afterward, Mahaan Mahaan was repackaged as a singles superstar on Raw to get involved in a feud with Rey and Dominik Mysterio. His last WWE match on TV was on the August 15 edition of Raw where he squashed enhancement talent, Beaux Keller, within two minutes.
Moving on, Indications of Mahaan’s return to WWE NXT were teased after he and Sanga defeated Chase U’s Andre Chase and Bodhi Hayward at a non-televised house live event, last month. Further reports also claimed that WWE could be looking forward to utilizing the team of Sanga and Mahaan as a powerhouse team on NXT.
WWE NXT Superstars to move to the main roster, shortly?
In return for Mahaan moving to WWE NXT, some of the superstars from the developmental brand may get exposure on the mainstay scene. Names like Fallon Henley, along with tag team Briggs and Jensen have all competed in their first matches on the main roster in recent times.
Henley faced off against veteran Dana Brooke and thereby picked up her first main roster win in the process during the latest episode of WWE Main Event. Briggs and Jensen also defeated R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin on the show indicating that they could be arriving on either Raw or Smackdown, shortly.
