WWE Officials conduct their business perspective with a lot of integrity and now it’s time for them to receive their honor for doing the hard work. Being the top-most brand in the world of professional wrestling, WWE already added itself toward the mainstream sporting leagues. So they can easily compete for awards or more honors just like the others.
It now appears that three top WWE Officials are featured on Sports Business Journal’s 2021 Most Influential People in Sports Business list. As per the official announcement, WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon, WWE President & CRO Nick Khan, and WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon are included on the list under the “Most Influential: Media Influencers” category.
WWE’s Stephanie McMahon Receives Corporate Leadership Award
A clear repositioning for WWE Officials was pointed out by SBJ to a media business under the leadership of Nick Khan as Vince McMahon possibly heading to retirement. Two very big upcoming projects were also noted to be in the works – Netflix’s docuseries on Vince, and the Blumhouse-developed “The United States of America Vs. Vince McMahon” TV series.
SBJ released the following statements on the WWE Officials making it to their list,
“There is clearly a repositioning of the WWE to a media business under Khan, who joined the company from CAA Sports in August 2020, especially with the move to Peacock as part of a five-year deal reported to be more than $1 billion. High-profile projects include a multipart Netflix docuseries on Vince McMahon’s life and a deal with Blumhouse Television on a scripted series about the WWE in the 1990s.”

WWE Officials will share the stage in different personalities
The above-mentioned WWE Officials share SBJ’s “Most Influential: Media Influencers” list for 2021 with top executives from ESPN, NBC Sports Group, Amazon, CBS Sports, Fox Sports, and WarnerMedia News & Sports/Turner Sports.
AEW was not touted for the listing of WarnerMedia News & Sports Chairman Jeff Zucker and Turner Sports President Lenny Daniels. But it was mentioned how Turner added NHL hockey and Premiere League soccer to the line-up and that Zucker and Daniels have become more reluctant in picking up sports rights.
Alongside the WWE Officials, UFC President Dana White was featured under the “Most Influential: Sports Property Influencers” category.
