This week’s RAW started as extended highlights of Summerslam were shown. This is what WWE after every pay per view event. So there was nothing to be amazed of. Summerslam was a good show. There were not enough surprises. The matches were good apart from a couple. It was a pretty fun event overall.
Cody Rhodes came out to the arena to open the show. He entered the ring and talked about his big victory over Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. He also reminded everyone that Brock Lesnar “acknowledged” him after his defeat at the hands of Cody. He said that now he felt he could beat everyone.

Seth Rollins made interruption to the American Nightmare. He said when he claimed that he could beat everyone, why not they do it once again? Just a quick reminder, these two athletes had a hill of a feud last year and it was won by Cody Rhodes. This is the feud that we were all waiting for; Cody challenging for the World Heavyweight title.
The Judgment Day interfered and Finn Balor was the not present among them. They reminded everyone that they on Monday Night RAW. Finn Balor attacked them meanwhile. Sami Zayn came out to help the two and with the help of him, they took out the Judgement Day. Cody Rhodes at the end ended up challenging them in a six man tag team match.
Chad Gable Becomes No. 1 Contender For IC Title
Footage from earlier tonight was shown where Adam Pearce got confronted by Ricochet, Chad Gable, Matt Riddle, and Tommaso Ciampa to get some future opportunities. Adam Pearce announced a Fatal 4 Way including all four of them and the winner would get a future Intercontinental Championship opportunity.
Match 1 – Chad Gable defeated Tommaso Ciampa, Matt Riddle, and Ricochet
They took half an hour to start their first match of the night, and what an excellent match it was! It turned out to be one of the most entertaining matches of the night. Throughout the match, the crowd remained on the side of Chad Gable who ultimately won the match with hitting a Chaos Theory on Ciampa and pinning him.
Good to see Chad Gable is finally getting a push. Definitely, he is not going to dethrone Gunther but if he gets to face him in a WWE PLE, that would be a huge boost for him. The crowd remained on his side throughout the night as well. We seriously hope that he gets a good push in the future. Winning the North American title would have been excellent. After the match, Gable celebrated with his little son who was on the audience seat. It was perhaps the best moment of the night.
