Next on RAW, Cody Rhodes came out to the arena. He was a scheduled to address the incident of last week where he was attacked and beaten down by Brock Lesnar. At first he talked about his return at Royal Rumble and earning the chance to main event WrestleMania 39 alongside Roman Reigns.
He then said how he lost to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 and now he was being told that to get another rematch for the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship, he had to earn it. He said that he would definitely get his rematch and he was ready to wait for it.

Next he talked about Brock Lesnar and the vicious attack he had to swallow last week on Monday Night RAW. He talked about all the theories on why Brock Lesnar might have attacked him last week on RAW. At the end he said that he was scared of Brock Lesnar but still he would like to fight him. Ultimately the wind on challenging Brock Lesnar in a match at Backlash.
Match 4 – The Usos defeated The Alpha Academy
This match was booked for around 10 minutes and it was an excellent match. It was a very good Tag Team bout and so far all the matches of tonight were really good. At the end of the match, Jey Uso pinned Chad Gable after their team move 1D. Really good performance from both sides.
Match 5 – No. 1 Contender’s Match for the WWE RAW Women’s Championship – Iyo Sky defeated Michin and Piper Niven
This was the shortest match of the night but it was not bad by any means. It did a good job in story telling. Bayley was a schedule to be a part of this match but with her teammates being upset about it, she sacrifice her spot for Iyo Sky. This is definitely going to be a good storyline. This is also going to be the first Women’s title shot Iyo Sky.
About the match it might have been short but it was pretty exciting. Piper Niven dominated the early part of the match, then Michin got the control of the match and she completely dominated Piper Niven which was not a very good look for the big lady. Iyo Sky pinned Michin with a Moonsault and it was a clean win. Looks like Bayley would finally turn babyface after Damage CTRL turn on her. If this was the long term plan, we can accept Bayley and Damage CTRL’s defeat at WrestleMania 39.
