Backstage on RAW, Kevin Owens was interviewed by Byron Saxton where he was asked if his decision to against Solo Sikoa tonight was a wise decision since Sami Zayn and Matt Riddle were not present tonight. Owens said that he would never back down from a fight and tonight he would take care of the Bloodline all by himself.
Match 6 – Solo Sikoa defeated Kevin Owens

WWE RAW 10.04.2023 Results & Ratings Part 4
The main event of tonight’s RAW was a booked for longer than 10 minutes and it was indeed the best match of the night. Nobody in particular dominated the match but Kevin Owens looked to be the stronger force of the duo. His injured knee had been really difficult for him to keep on fighting this match.
Once again it was more of a three on one match with the Usos kept on assisting Solo throughout the match from outside. At the end of the match, Owens almost had Solo beaten but Jey hit a Superkick from outside which the referee failed to notice and Solo pinned Owens with the Samoan Spike.
After the match, The Bloodline started beating down Kevin Owens. Sami Zayn and Matt Riddle came out for the help who were not supposed to be here tonight. They beat down the Bloodline and took them out of the ring. Maybe there planning a six man tag team match for Backlash. The babyface side stood tall inside the ring as this week’s RAW went of air.

Overall it was the much better episode of Monday Night RAW then the previous week. There were a total of 6 matches were booked and all of them are pretty good. We got to see a title change, new feuds started, and the Bloodline vs Sami, Kevin, and Riddle got a good continuation.
However this story line is not having a very fast build. Definitely they have long term booking plan for this feud, but they are not being able to add any variety to it. Every week the story is more or less the same, one of the babyfaces gets attacked by the Bloodline and the rest of his teammates come out to save him.
Trish Stratus turning her back on Becky Lynch and maybe it was her behind the attack on Lita was an interesting storyline. Trish is working as a heel at this stage of her career is definitely pretty shocking. This move was rumour for WrestleMania 39 and this would have been a better storyline at the grandest stage of them all since Bayley really needed this victory.

There was not enough progress in the Ray Mysterio – Dominik Mysterio storyline. Clearly they are planning a tag team match for Backlash where Rey would team up with Bad Bunny to take on the Judgement Day where Dominik would definitely be involved. Hopefully, Rey would give a good lift to his son by the end of this feud.
At the end we would like to talk about the ongoing saga between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar. There might have been a lot of theories about why WWE booked such a shocking feud. Here is our take on it. Cody just returned from the main event of WrestleMania and he needed is strong match for Backlash. But just like always Roman Reigns is not going to wrestle at the upcoming pay per view event. So they need a main event and a very strong match for Cody Rhodes to keep making him look strong.
So here you go, you get Brock Lesnar as the opponent of Cody at Backlash. This will not only keep making Cody Rhodes look like a potential main event star, what they would have a great main event for Backlash as well. This is the only reason behind this feud and we do not see any other possibilities. We give this week’s RAW 2 out of 5.
