This week’s RAW started as WWE Hall of Famer Edge came out to the arena. He addressed his months long rival Finn Balor and remembered what they went through till now. He looked back at how it all started after the Judgement Day decided to betray him.
The Judgment Day came out to the arena. Finn Balor reminded Edge how he made him quit at the Extreme Rules pay per view event last year. Edge admitted that he could not sleep every time he remembered it. At the end, Edge challenged Finn Balor in a match at WrestleMania 39 but this time in Hell in a Cell. After accepting the challenge, Judgment Day attacked Edge. The Way came out and stood for Edge.
WWE RAW 13.03.2023 Results & Ratings Part 1
Match 1 – The Judgment Day defeated The Way
The first match of the night was pretty competitive and it was booked for 11 minutes. Both sides had been really good throughout the match. The babyface side had the most control of the match but at the end, when Dexter Lumis was locking Dominik Mysterio in the Necklock submission move, Damian Priest who was the legal man quickly hit a Sitout Chokeslam and pinned him.
Footage from earlier tonight was shown where Cathy Kelley asked the Miz if he had any plans of having a co host for WrestleMania 39. Before he could answer, it was seen on the other side og backstage that Trish Stratus was being attacked by Damage CTRL. It looked like a vicious beat down and Trish looked out.
Omos and MVP came out to the arena next on RAW. MVP reminded everyone of the incident between him and Brock Lesnar that to place two weeks ago. At first he mistakenly said it was from last week, then he quickly corrected himself and said or two weeks ago. He said that Brock Lesnar made a big mistake by attacking him.
Brock Lesnar made an interference and he entered the ring. Omos and Brock Lesnar stood face to face. Omos showed off his huge fist to look stronger than Lesnar. Then they shook their hands. Lesnar attempted to attack Omos fought back and took him out of the ring. Lesnar botched a little while going out of the ring.
Match 2 – Cody Rhodes defeated LA Knight
This match was booked for 10 and a half minutes and it was an excellent match. Needless to say, it was a pay per view standard match. Cody was pretty good as usual, so as Knight. Cody Rhodes pinned Knight with his Cross Rhodes Finishing Maneuver.
After the match, Cody Rhodes cut an excellent promo. He talked about his upcoming match with Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39. He said that he waited for this moment all his life. Now he will finally take what was rightfully his.
Backstage on RAW Seth Rollins was interviewed by Byron Saxton where he was interrupted by The Miz and he informed that Logan Paul would host his Impaulsive Talkshow next week where he would be the special guest. Baron Corbin interfered and requested to be Miz’s co host for WrestleMania 39. Miz denied and Corbin offered boxing lesions to Seth which Seth also denied. At the end, Corbin ended of challenging Seth in a match later tonight which Seth accepted.
Backstage on RAW Cathy Kelley was trying to get an update on the health of Trish Stratus. Chad Gable was looking for Otis who asked Cathy if she saw her. Cathy said no and Becky Lynch and Lita entered the doctor’s room with real concerns on their faces. Cathy tried to get some words from them but they were in real hurry.
Match 3 – Austin Theory defeated Angelo Dawkins
This match was booked for six and a half minutes and it was a pretty good match. They did a good job to promote Theory before his big match at WrestleMania 39. Theory pinned Dawkins with the A Town Down. After the match, Theory locked Dawkins in the STF submission which was the signature of John Cena. Montez Ford came out to save him.
