This week’s RAW started as the WWE United States champion Seth Rollins came out to the arena. Footage from last week was shown where Austin Theory attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank contract of Seth for the United States Championship and failed because of a beat down he received from Bobby Lashley.
Seth Rollins talked about the chaos that that was surrounding the United States Championship scenario. First it was Finn Balor who attempted to challenge him, then Mustafa Ali Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory all jumped in. “This is Stupid” chants got filled in the arena after the mention of last week’s cash in.

Bobby Lashley came out to the arena and he said that he would continue beating him down as long as he was not getting his United States Championship back. The duo exchanged some words before they got interrupted by Mustafa Ali who brought a referee along with him. He attempted to attack Bobby Lashley but Lashley took him out of the ring.
Match 1 – Bobby Lashley defeated Mustafa Ali
This match was booked for and a half minutes and it was totally dominated by Lashley, but it was not a squash. Ali had some offences but they were not enough to take down Lashley. At the end, Lashley hit a Spear on Ali and defeated him with the Hurt Lock.
Backstage the beautiful Cathy Kelley interviewed the OC on RAW where once again they claimed that they have founded a solution for the Rhea Ripley problem and that was Mia Yim. AJ Styles challenged Finn Balor in a one on one match at Survivor Series to end it once and for all.
Match 2 – Mia Yim defeated Tamina Snuka
It was Mia Yim’s first match in WWE since return and it was a very easy win for her. The match was booked for only two minutes. Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio was outside of the Ring, watching Mia. Mia pinned Tamina with the Inverted Stomp Facebreaker which is also known as Eat Defeat.
Backstage The Damage CTRL met Mia Yim and praised her performance earlier tonight against Tamina Snuka. And then they offered her the opportunity to join their team at Survivor Series against the team of Bianca Belair. Mia said she appreciated the offer but she had no issues with Bianca and the rest, so she could not join their team.

Match 3 – Chad Gable defeated Matt Riddle
This match might have been taking place for 99999th time but it was a little strange to see Chad Gable picking up the victory, even though it was not clean. The match was bought for around 10 minutes and it was a good match. Otis kept on distracting Riddle throughout the match. At the end, Gable attempted a roll up pin on Riddle, Otis gave Gable support from outside of the ring and the referee failed to notice it.
The Miz entered the arena to host the Miz TV where he claim to be the victim against Dexter Lumis, as well as he accepted the charges against him. He said Dexter was blackmailing him and making his life miserable. Johnny Gargano joined the frame and he ended up announcing a match between Miz and Dexter Lumis at Survivor Series where if Dexter wins, Miz would have to pay him everything he owed him and he would also get a WWE contract.
Match 4 – Dominik Mysterio defeated Shelton Benjamin
This match was booked for five minutes. Throughout the match, Dominik teased Eddie Guerrero’s signatures. Dominik also received outside supports from Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. At the end, Dominik pinned Shelton Benjamin with the Frog Splash.
Backstage Austin Theory was interviewed by Cathy Kelley where he tried to explain his cash in last week. He said he tried to cash in on Roman Reigns twice before, at SummerSlam Brock Lesnar stopped him, at Clash at the Castle it was Tyson Fury. And if they were not there, Bloodline would have stopped him. So Roman Reigns is literally untouchable. That was why he picked on the easier one. He would have win the United States title if not for Bobby Lashley.

Match 5 – Iyo Sky defeated Dana Brooke
This match was booked for three minutes and it was an easy victory for the one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. Iyo pinned Dana with a Moonsault. After the match, Mia Yim appeared and announced that she would be joining the team of Bianca Belair.
Match 6 – Dolph Ziggler defeated Austin Theory by DQ
This nine minute long match could have been the best match of the night but for the end. It had been a very good contest, near falls made it even more fun to watch. At the end of the match, Theory had Ziggler beaten. He could have easily pin him after the A Town Down. Instead he decided to get disqualified, which does not make any sense actually. Maybe they are trying to show a different side of Theory, but it was a weak booking.
Backstage on RAW Rhea Ripley confronted the Damage CTRL and asked them if she could join their team at Survivor Series. She said since Mia Yim was on the side of Bianca Belair, she would love to go against her. Damage CTRL gladly acceptedthe proposal.
Match 7 – Baron Corbin defeated Akira Tozawa
The match was booked for three and a half minutes and surprisingly it was mostly dominated by Akira Tozawa. The encounter that should have been and easy win for Baron was dominated by the jobber. It was not a very good look for Corbin. At the end of the match, Corbin pinned Tozawa with the End of Days.
Match 8 – WWE United States Championship – Seth Rollins defeated Finn Balor to retain
This was undoubtedly the best match of the night. The whole contest was booked for nearly 15 minutes and it was of course a pay per view standard match. There were back to back near falls which made the match even more exciting. At the end of the match, Judgement Day and the OC started fighting beside the ring and it was a big distraction for both wrestlers.

Finn Balor almost had the match won but when he was about to hit the Coup De Grace, he was pushed off by AJ Styles. Seth Rollins took the advantage of the situation as he pinned Finn Balor after the hitting the Stomp and he retained the WWE United States Championship.
After the match, the fight between Judgement Day and the OC continued outside of the ring. Meanwhile, Austin Theory attacked Seth Rollins and started beating him down. It was a massive beat down. Surely a United States championship match between the duo will take place at Survivor Series. Austin Theory celebrated with the Championship over Seth Rollins as this week’s RAW went off air.
Overall it was a totally average week of Monday night RAW with really nothing special. It definitely reminds us of the worst time period of the reign of Vince McMahon’s RAW. It was more of a flat show. They tried to prove that they are not burying Austin Theory, that was the main goal of this show.
But how long would you keep accepting the biggest weekly show of the promotion without any World Championship and Tag Team Championship segment? This is why the championships has to split. RAW needs its own World title and Tag Team titles. We give this week’s RAW 1.5 stars out of 5.
