WWE Raw 17/05/2021 Results & Ratings
Match 1 – AJ Styles defeated Elias by DQ
The match was going well for over eight minutes and Jaxson Ryker interfered to led the match to DQ. This might be an indication to a new feud for the Ra Tag Team Championships.
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina featured on Alexa’s playground which was an indication for a possible tag team title feud with the champions and Alexa Bliss and Lilly.
Match 2 – Angel Garza defeated Drew Gulak
Good to see WWE is finally making some jobbers’ storylines. Angel Garza and Drew Gulak’s feud does not a great storyline but it is only made to build Garza as a mid carder.

Backstage Akira Tozawa pinned R Truth to win the 24/7 championship. Good to see the title finally back to the main show.

The match was booked for around seven minutes as it was mostly dominated by Orton. At the end, Xavier Woods created a distraction for Orton and Kofi pinned him with a roll up.
Match 4 – WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina defeated Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax

Before the start of the match, Ricochet mocked Sheamus by mimicking his attire and accent. They fought for ten minutes and it was a really nice match. Ricochet was extremely good in this match, as he always was.
Match 6 –Asuka defeated Charlotte Flair
It was an excellent match, undoubtedly the best match of the night. For around fifteen minutes booking, the two ladies showcased pay per view standard match. Asuka at the end pinned Charlotte with a small package pin. Rhea Ripley was outside of the ring who kept distracting Charlotte throughout the match.

Match 7 – Damian Priest defeated John Morrison in a Lumberjack match
This was a real Lumberjack match with true lamberjacks, not zombies. The match was booked to build Priest as a strong force. In a ten minutes time, both men did really well. Priest at the end pinned Morrison with the swinging face first.
Match 8 – Kofi Kingston defeated WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in a non-title match
Lashley issued an open challenge at the beginning of the night which was answered by Kofi Kingston. But at the end, it turned out to be a non-title match. Kofi Kingston at the end pinned Lashley with a roll up after Drew hit Lashley while referee was busy to attend other works. This week’s Raw ended as Lashley taunted everyone with the WWE title.
Overall, it was a good show where they tried to cover all the on going feuds. We give 3 stars out of 5. One star will be deducted as another disappointing week with no returns and no debuts, and the other for the absence of Braun after such a match last night.
