This week’s RAW started as the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes came out to the arena. It was his hometown and quite naturally he received in amazing ovation. He addressed his hometown and also thanked his mother for everything who was in the front row in the audience seat.
He then called out Brock Lesnar whom he might face at SummerSlam. But Brock Lesnar did not show up. He said that in the time he sees Brock Lesnar there would be retaliation. As he was about to leave the ring and the arena, the music of the Beast hit and Cody started to get prepared for a fight.

Brock Lesnar kept on teasing him with his entrance music. As he attempted to get to Brock by looking for him at the Gorilla where Brock was hiding. Cody got attacked by Brock and he started beating him down. Once again he delivered a massive beat down to Cody. After the beat down, he accepted Cody’s challenge for SummerSlam.
Match 1 – Gunther defeated Matt Riddle
Gunther Defeated Matt Riddle In A Non Title Match
This match was booked for nearly five minutes and it was a pretty easy victory for the Intercontinental Champion. There was not enough competition for the Ring General in this match. But it would be the end of this feud with Riddle getting totally destroyed by the Austrian professional wrestler. Gunther pinned Riddle with the Powerbomb.
After the match, Gunther stood on top of the announce table and claimed his supremacy. He also addressed his feud with Riddle to be over by now. As it is known to all, Drew McIntyre would not be here tonight. Once he is back by next week, we can expect him to continue his feud with Gunther.
Backstage the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were being interviewed and asked about their upcoming Tag Team Championship match tonight. Rhea Ripley interrupted them and the segment turned violent at the end. Rhea managed to beat down both Morgan and Rodriguez with Rodriguez’s right foot looked really hurt.
The Judgment Day came out to the arena. Rhea Ripley mocked the fans for thinking their faction would break. She made fun of Rodriguez who got beat down by her a while ago. She also informed that Dominik Mysterio would challenge Wes Lee for the NXT North American Championship tomorrow on NXT.
