This week’s RAW started as footage from earlier tonight was shown as Cody Rhodes was the entering the building. But he was attacked by Brock Lesnar backstage and he received a massive beat down from the Beast Incarnate. Cody Rhodes was literally screaming in agony after the beat down.
Paul Heyman was seen standing inside the ring and he claimed that the incident that was shown had nothing to do with him, neither did he had anything to do with it. He cut a short promo on the upcoming match between Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes at Night of Champions.

He then turned his attention to the upcoming WWE Tag Team Championship match where the WWE Undisputed Universal Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns would team up with his cousin Solo Sikoa to challenge Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the title at Night of Champions.
WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn came out to the arena. They also talked about their upcoming tag team championship match at Night of Champions. Sami Zayn said that this match is going to be a lot personal to him rather than his previous matches.
Matt Riddle Saves Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn From Imperium On RAW
Kevin Owens reminded everyone that Roman Reigns say that they would dedicate their victory to the Wild Samoans at Night of Champions. Owens said that day would like to dedicate their victory to a team as well. They would dedicate it towards The Usos whom they addressed as the pillars of the Bloodline.
Sami Zayn informed everyone that they would be facing Imperium in six man tag team match tonight. Before he could finish Imperium interfered. As they started to surround him, Matt Riddle came out to help his side. Together they took out Imperium and they decided not to go back to the ring to continue the fight.
Match 1 – Bronson Reed defeated Ricochet
Our first match of the night was booked for around 5 minutes and it was an average match. We would not call it a squash but it was a pretty easy victory for the Australian professional wrestler. He pinned Ricochet with the Tsunami Splash. It looks like WWE has big plans for him.
