A pre taped backstage interview of Seth Rollins was shown on RAW where he said that Roman Reigns had been a selfish champion and he did not care about anyone. Because of his lack of defending the title, people are not getting enough opportunities. He would become the World Heavyweight champion so everyone could forget about Roman Reigns.
Match 2 – Zoey Stark defeated Candice LeRae
WWE RAW 22.05.2023 Results Part 2, Balor Vs. Nakamura, Brock Attacks Cody Again, More Matches
This was a short match and it was a pretty easy win for the newest star of Monday Night RAW. Nikki Cross was in the ringside for Candice who created an unwanted distraction for her and Zoey took the advantage of the situation and won the match.
Brock Lesnar came out to the arena. He said that the beat down that he delivered to Cody Rhodes would definitely prevent him from being in the match with him at Night of Champions. So he issued an open challenge for anyone in the locker room who would like to face him at Night of Champions.
Brock Lesnar Attacks Cody Rhodes’ Injured Arm On RAW
Cody Rhodes came out to the arena with a tied arm. He did not look very good. He entered the ring and removed his hand knot. Brock Lesnar attacked him once again and he targeted his injured arm. He locked his injured left arm into the Kimura Lock. Clearly this injury is kayfabe.
Match 3 – the Alpha Academy defeated the Viking Raiders
This match was booked for 5 minutes and it was a fun match. The Viking Raiders dominated the most part of the match but at the end, Maxxine Dupri created an unintentional distraction for The Vikings and Chad Gable pinned Eric with a rollup.
Match 4 – Finn Balor defeated Shinsuke Nakamura
This match was booked for seven minutes and it was a pretty good match. The match could definitely be better than what they delivered, however. Damian Priest kept on creating distractions for Nakamura throughout the match which helped Balor to earn a pin fall win after a Coup De Grace.
Clearly, WWE is building Finn Balor as a future World champion. This is the reason why he is receiving back to back big victories. Now it is pretty much clear why he needed the win over Edge at WrestleMania 39 inside Hell in a Cell. This could help him build as a top star even better.
Match 5 – Raquel Rodriguez defeated Sonya Deville
This is a very short match as it was booked for only 2 minutes and it was an easy win for the former two times NXT Women’s champion. Sonya Deville attempted to get an early advantage but as soon as Rodriguez got the control of the match it was all her game. She pinned Deville with the Tejana Bomb.
