Overall this week’s RAW was nothing special but it will be remembered for the Epic announcement for the resurrection of the World Heavyweight Championship. This had to be done. This was the only way to save WWE from the selfish hands of Roman Reigns. Hopefully, WWE becomes interesting and exciting once again after the introduction of a new World Championship.
Let us talk about the design of the title. It is pretty much similar to the big gold belt, just a bit smaller with the big WWE logo on top of it, and it is a little more shiny as well. Now we should talk about who is going to be the first World Heavyweight champion and how they determine it.
WWE RAW 24.04.2023 Results & Ratings Part 6
The only name that comes into the mind is Seth Rollins. Apart from him there is only one main eventer WWE and that is Cody Rhodes but he needs to continue his feud with Roman Reigns, so Rollins is the only option. But if Drew McIntyre decides to return to WWE, he would be a great option as well.
This time we hope WWE does not introduce their new World Heavyweight champion like in 2002 when the title was just awarded to Triple H. We believe WWE should organise a big tournament to crown it. Wherever the title goes, all the wrestlers should be a part of this tournament. This would be more fair and more competitive of course.
Triple H and Seth Rollins both used words against Roman Reigns tonight which was extremely satisfying and both of them told the truth about the so called Tribal Chief. But we feel pity for the brand where he goes. Hopefully WWE does not put much main eventers in his brand. It should be all the lower mid cards like Angel Garza and Shelton Benjamin on his brand. That is what a part time champion deserves.
Now let us talk about the rest of the episode of RAW. Tonight’s matches were absolutely awful. Apart from the Cody Rhodes vs. Finn Balor match, rest of the matches were really bad. And there were only six matches. Tonight WWE mostly focussed on promos rather than booking matches. Last week on SmackDown we talked about the lack of promos, and tonight there were only promos. It is pretty unfortunate that there were no balanced shows in WWE.
The Bloodline storyline was slowly getting boring day by day but with they brought the Sami Zayn – Jey Uso angle back, once again its felt pretty interesting. We hope to see a reunion between Jey Uso and Sami Zayn in the near future. We would not mind a continuation of this storyline but they have to come up with some variety in it.
Last but not the least, Bianca Belair is getting boring day by day. She cannot offer anything new, just the same old character with same vibes. She is just the Roman Reigns of the women’s division of WWE who never lose is a match and beats everyone. It is just she appears every week and competes regularly.
Speaking of the women’s division, we feel really bad for the Bayley. It is getting really frustrating to see her jobbing every single week. She is one of the most talented athletes in WWE roster and a former three times Women’s champion as well. It is really unfair to see her job every week. If her situation does not improve, we regret to say it, she should consider parting ways with WWE. We give this week’s RAW 2 out of 5 and it is mostly because of the legendary announcement of the reintroduction of the World Heavyweight championship.
