How Kofi Kingston got a victory over the champion.

Drew McIntyre came out to the arena. Drew said that he wanted his one on one title rematch. New Day came out as Kofi Kingston reminded last week. MVP said that he should thank Drew. Drew said ‘you’re welcome’ to Kofi. Kofi said he could beat Bobby even without his help. And he said that he deserved a title shot before Drew McIntyre.

WWE Raw 24.05.2021 Results & Ratings

Adam Pearce came out to the arena and announced a math between Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston and the winner would face Bobby Lashley for the WWE title at Hell in a Cell pay per view event.

Match 1 – Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston went to a double DQ

The match was going extremely well for over sixteen minutes. Both men were doing quite good as they hit Bobby Lashley outside of the ring accidentally during the match and Bobby entered the ring with MVP and attacked both. As a result, match goes to DQ. But Drew and Kofi fought back.

Backstage Nikki Cross was seen making her return who challenged Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair backstage. Rhea Ripley accepted Nikki’s challenge.

Match 2 – Rhea Ripley failed to beat Nikki Cross in a two minutes beat the clock challenge.

Charlotte Flair made Rhea accept Nikki’s challenge and challenged her to beat Nikki in two minutes. But Rhea failed to beat Nikki in two minutes. Charlotte Flair entered and laughed on Rhea.

Match 3 – Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka

It was a very good match up and it was booked for 12 minutes. This was one of the better matches of the night. Both women were booked strong. Charlotte pinned Asuka with an inverted roll up.

Match 4 – Cedric Alexander defeated Shelton Benjamin

A good match and it was booked for nine minutes. Cedric played a nice heel job throughout the match. He in the end pinned Shelton with a unclean pin.

Match 5 – Riddle defeated Xavier Woods

Another nicely booked match. It was given a booking of ten minutes time. Riddle shocked the world after he pinned Woods with an RKO.

Match 6 – Jaxson Ryker defeated AJ Styles

This must have been the worst booking of the night. The guy who was on the main event constantly for quite a long time is now jobbing to the jobbers. Even though it was not a clean win but losing to jobbers for a three times World Champion is seriously not acceptable.

Match 7 – WWE United States Champion Sheamus defeated Humberto Carrillo

This match was booked for four minutes and for a short time it was okay. Sheamus pinned Carrillo with a reverse school boy pin. After the match Sheamus kept up beating Carrillo as Ricochet came out and beat down Sheamus.

Match 8 – WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina defeated Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler

This is the match that showed that WWE is not taking the Women’s Tag Team title seriously at all. A title match with no promotion throughout the event. Not even mentioned once. Even though it the main event of the night it was built for something else, the titles were not important here. Reginald accidentally cost Shayna the match who was pinned by Natalya with a roll up. Reginald was living the arena as he was stopped by pyro again. Shayna beat Reginald at the end as this week’s WWE Raw went off the air.

Overall, it was an average show. They tried to book everything was in site but things remained lame at the end. We give it a 2.5 stars out of 5. 1.5 stars will be deducted for terrible booking AJ Styles, and 1 star will be deducted for bad Women’s Tag Team title booking.
