This week’s RAW started as the former two times WWE World Champion The Miz came out to the arena for the first segment of the night which was the Miz TV with Trish Stratus and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Becky Lynch and Lita being the special guest.
At the start of the segment, Miz tried to disrespect Becky Lynch, Becky returned the favour with the mention of tiny balls once again. She also explained how Damage CTRL made her life a living hell throughout this time. As Lita was about to say something, Damage CTRL made interference.
WWE RAW 27.03.2023 Results & Ratings Part 1
Bayley cut a good promo that it would be their dream match at a point but Lita and Trish had passed their prime and they have nothing left to offer. Becky said Damage CTRL had been extremely bothersome since day one and they had to be stopped ones and for all at WrestleMania 39.
Match 1 – Becky Lynch defeated Iyo Sky
This match was booked for nearly eight minutes and it was a very good match to speak things off for tonight’s RAW. Both women had their fair shares of damage and both women were pretty good. Definitely the match had to be won by Becky Lynch who pinned Iyo with The Manhandle Slam.
Next up they promoted the upcoming match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa later tonight with showing whatever happened between the two in the last couple of weeks. Surprisingly Roman Reigns is not attending tonight’s RAW either. But he will be on SmackDown this Friday.
Next up on RAW, they showed a video package promoting Asuka for her upcoming WWE Raw women’s championship match at WrestleMania 39 against Bianca Belair. WWE Hall of Famers like Lita and Molly Holly shared their views on Asuka during the video package. They are trying their best to build Asuka as a worthy WrestleMania opponent for Bianca.
Match 2 – Seth Rollins defeated Mustafa Ali
This was a short two minute long match and it was mostly a squash. But kudos to Mustafa Ali for selling all the moves excellently. Rollins hit two stomps on Ali before pinning him, one of the Turnbuckle, and one in the middle of the ring.
After the match Seth rollins discussed all the miseries he had to go through because of Logan Paul. He cost his opportunity to win Royal Rumble, he also cost him at Elimination Chamber. Now he would take his revenge at WrestleMania 39. He also announced that their match would take place on night one.
Backstage Chelsea Green met Adam Pearce and demanded an explanation on why she was not on the fatal 4 way tag team match at WrestleMania 39. Pearce clarified that she did not even have a tag team partner. Sonya Deville showed up who was ready to team up with her. Pearce announced a qualifying match between these two women against the team of Mia Yim and Candice LeRae.
Next up was a segment between Brock Lesnar and Omos. In this segment both were scheduled to reveal their weights publicly. Omos came out first with MVP and is weight was revealed to be 410 lbs. MVP got a short promo hyping the upcoming match at WrestleMania 39 before the arrival of Brock Lesnar.
MVP could not finish his promo as Brock Lesnar interfered. He entered the ring and attacked Omos straight. He did not care about revealing his actual weight among the WWE fans. Lesnar kept on attacking the big man but the Nigerian Giant fought back as he hit a big boot on Lesnar’s face and Lesnar avoided the fight after that.
Next up was a video package to promote the upcoming SmackDown women’s championship match at WrestleMania 39 between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley. Rhea give a backstage interview after that to Byron Saxton where she claimed that Charlotte cannot stop her at WrestleMania 39.
Finn Balor appeared in a pre recorded video promo where he revealed that he would bring his demon Persona at WrestleMania 39 inside Hell in a Cell, something that Edge was asking for last week on RAW. We seriously hope that Finn Balor wins at WrestleMania 39.
Match 3 – Braun Strowman, Ricochet, and The Street Profits defeated The Viking Raiders and The Alpha Academy
This eight man tag team match was booked for eight minutes and it was booked to promote the fatal 4 way tag team match at WrestleMania 39. The match was pretty entertaining and Montez Ford at the end pinned Eric of the Viking Raiders to pick up the victory for his side.
