Recently, Becky Lynch was cast as a character on NBC’s critically-acclaimed series, Young Rock, and she delivered an incredible performance as Cyndi Lauper. The November 4 Season 3 premiere episode of the show, titled The People Need you took place in 1985 during the lead-up to the first WrestleMania event.
Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, Vince McMahon, Lou Albano, Liberace were in attendance at a pre-Wrestlemania party along with Cyndi Lauper, the character played by Becky Lynch. Needless to say, she landed a famous role and delivered to expectations to earn praise from her fanatics. But it was her accent that garnered attention among the pro-wrestling fans.

As we are used to seeing on WWE TV, Becky Lynch is fluent in her Irish accent all the time and we had never heard of WWE programming in a different accent. That wasn’t the case for Young Rock who could be heard in an American accent. A similar conversation from an episode of Ridiculousness has also resurfaced as fans found a resemblance in her accent.

Meanwhile, Becky Lynch took to Twitter and gave props to Courtney Young, for helping in changing her original Irish accent into the USA accent as the script of Young Rock demanded so,
“Special shout out to @courtney_ly for working with me tirelessly to scrape away the brogue and bring Cyndis very distinct voice to life!”
Young Rock is a popular television show based on the life of pro wrestler turned Hollywood megastar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Quite a few WWE talents including Becky Lynch have been part of season 3. The latter does hope to transition into a Hollywood superstar someday and this appearance on Young Rock may help her to get even bigger roles in the future.
However, this is not the first time that THE MAN has been a part of Hollywood ventures. She’s already appeared on a 2020 episode of the show Billions as well as the 2021 Paramount+ movie, Rumble. Before that, she was a cast member of The Marine franchise’s sixth movie with WWE Superstar The Miz in the lead alongside WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.
