Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley who has also been a former two times ECW World Champion in WWE recently expressed his desire to win back the WWE Championship. He also talked about a potential feud between the Hurt Foundation and The New Day.
When Bobby Lashley made his return to WWE back in 2018 he was not treated as a main event star instantly. At first, he was a mid card who was mostly focusing on the mid card championships. He did get some opportunities to fight for the WWE Universal title but he was never presented as a potential champion.
WWE RAW – Bobby Lashley Is Focusing On Winning The WWE Championship Again
But WWE had high plans for him when he first arrived in WWE back in 2005. He won the ECW World Champion only one year after joining WWE. He had been a two times ECW World Champion in WWE and Vince McMahon himself made sure to push him through himself as the boss had a feud with him in 2007.
After his return to WWE in 2018 he had been first portrayed as a potential championship material earlier this year only when he defeated the Miz for the WWE Championship. He kept on retaining the title against harder challenges. He defeated Drew McIntyre in back to back occasions which actually built him as a strong force.
But as he lost the title to Big E a couple of months ago he lost back to back matches. He literally jobbed to Big E in a number of matches, and he has been thrashed by Goldberg at the Crown Jewel pay per view event of WWE. After such back to back defeats, it would not be easy for him to get back into the main event status again.
Bobby Lashley who has also been a former two times ECW World Champion in WWE recently expressed his desire to win back the WWE Championship. He also talked about a potential feud between the Hurt Foundation and The New Day. He said;
“Absolutely. That’s the only thing I’m focused on right now. I don’t even care about anything else. If anybody steps in my way from getting there, then they get smashed. Right now, I’m just on a whole other level of thinking, training’s going good, everything’s going good, so yeah.”
“Oh, we’ll win that one for sure. For sure. I think right now, Survivor Series, Big E and Roman [Reigns] already have a match set. So, I just watched SmackDown last night, and I saw Bloodline jump on Kofi [Kingston] and Xavier [Woods]. So, I think you might see The New Day against The Bloodline at Survivor Series. But you know there’s always opportunities for the Hurt Business…”
