To be very clear, WWE Raw viewership mostly stayed under the 2 million mark for most of the year, 2020. The pandemic and absence of fans have been a big reason behind this. With the influence of digital media such declines didn’t seem much significant for WWE, previously but that’s not the case, anymore.

A report from WrestleVotes stated that WWE Raw officials aren’t taking things lightly. So repercussions are coming as they plan to come up with some measures to tackle the problem.
WrestlingNewsco has reported that WWE CEO Vince McMahon is planning a “shake up” things on WWE RAW after TLC where some “out of the box” ideas are being considered for the longest-running weekly television show in history in the coming weeks.

It was noted how most of the contents for last week’s RAW were written by Vince McMahon but the blame for the decline in ratings is being put on the creative team. The report further stated that “people are walking on eggshells after the record-low viewership and there’s been talk about scrapping some of the plans that were discussed for the build to the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. There is also some concern that if things do not turn around, then some people in creative could be let go.”
Following the record-low viewership pulled by WWE Raw, a three-hour program, a change is needed to be made, and USA Network is reportedly calling for one.
Alex McCarthy of TalkSport reports that the broadcaster of the show, USA Network is furious about these low ratings on consecutive occasions. They want changes to be made in the contents. They are apparently pulling for “dark” content. Things may not necessarily be sexy in nature, but violent and edgy in that regard.
“USA Network are furious. They want more adult content. Not sexy adult, but dark and violent adult,” mentioned Alex.
Reports also noted how WWE Raw could go with a “reset” button press once the builds for 2021 Royal Rumble pay-per-view rolls through in January.
