With Triple H in control of WWE Raw and Smackdown, things are looking steady on the main roster for the past several weeks. Joining the latest spree of returnees is Braun Strowman who made a triumphant comeback, last night by destroying a plethora of superstars. He will be back on Smackdown, this week while the builds for next week’s red brand episode are also being built.
Also announced for WWE Raw, WWE Hall of Famer Edge will wrestle Dominik Mysterio of Judgment Day in a singles bout in the potential headliner of the show. In more announcements for the show, a championship rematch will feature from the final of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles tourney that took place, last week.
WWE Raw: Braun Strowman Makes Triumphant Return; Set For Smackdown Appearance
Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah won that match against DAMAGE CTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY to become new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Now the same lineup will go down, next week in the champions’ first title defense.
The title bout came about after DAMAGE CTRL cut a promo in the ring on WWE Raw. Kai pointed out how she wasn’t even the legal competitor in the match when Aliyah rolled her up for the pinfall victory and the referee didn’t notice the same. So, she questioned the legitimacy of Raquel and Aliyah as champions.
Meanwhile, Raquel and Aliyah defeated Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop in a non-title match, earlier the night. The rematch against Kai and SKY will mark their first championship defense.
Johnny Gargano is set to make his in-ring for the first time on WWE Raw, next week in nearly nine months. He was last seen in a WWE ring during the NXT WarGames event on December 5, 2021. He was then written off WWE TV after suffering an attack at the hands of Grayson Waller. During his hiatus, Gargano and his wife Candice LeRae have become first-time parents.
