Scottish professional wrestler Kimberly Benson aka Piper Niven who is currently going by the name of Doudrop in WWE recently talked about the release of Eva Marie. She said that she was heartbroken when she got to know that Eva Marie has been released by WWE.
Eva Marie started her WWE career back in 2013 and worked for four years with the promotion. But she could not gain enough popularity among the fans neither did she improve much. In 2017 she was released but she was brought back by WWE once again earlier this year. WWE hyped her return a lot via promo packages. She made her official return along with Piper Niven as her cousin and she was renamed as Doudrop.
WWE RAW – Doudrop Is Upset Over The Release Of Eva Marie
The duo first appeared as a tag team in WWE RAW but later they got separated and had a feud against each other. They had a number of matches against each other and all of them were won by Niven. The feud was clearly won by Niven and she went on for a better future in WWE.
It looks like she would be turning heel soon as this week on Monday Night RAW she attacked Bianca Belair during her fatal 5 way match and cost her the match. Surely they would have a feud next and Niven would be a heel now.
As per Eva Marie, she lost her push and even screen time on Monday Night RAW. Fans were clearly not impressed with her as both fans and critics kept on saying she did not improved at all in all these times. She was given a number of matches to prove herself since her return but she could not impress the fans and the critics.
Unfortunately, she has been released from WWE recently. It is being reported that she has been released from WWE because of not being able to improve much since returning to WWE.
Piper Niven who is currently going by the name of Doudrop in WWE recently spoke to Metro where she talked about the release of Eva Marie. She said that she was heartbroken when she got to know that Eva Marie has been released by WWE. She said;
“Honestly, I’m absolutely heartbroken because that woman is a big sister to me. Behind the scenes, she is the nicest person you will ever meet… Every single person, she’s got a funny story with them. I just love her so much. I hope it’s not the last we’ve seen of her in WWE, I think she’s amazing.
“When you see her in real life, you’re like… you’re amazing at being a heel. But time will tell – who knows what will happen in this crazy world? I feel like everything that has been thrown at me, I’ve knocked out of the park – especially being with Eva. She obviously has been here before so for me it was a bit calming to have someone that had the experience, and who could guide me.”
