Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle who is a former six times WWE World Champion and a former six times World Champion in TNA Wrestling recently gave his opinion on former two times TNA World Heavyweight champion Robert Roode. Angle believes that Roode would be a WWE Champion soon.
Robert Roode joined WWE in 2016 after an amazing spell of twelve years with TNA Wrestling. Roode had won almost all the possible Championship in TNA wrestling in his twelve years spell with the promotion. When he came to WWE back in 2016 he was sent to work in the NXT where he was treated as a main event star. He was mostly addressed as The Glorious Bobby Roode.
WWE RAW – Kurt Angle Thinks Bobby Roode Will Be WWE Champion Soon
But as soon as he joined the main roster of WWE in 2017, it was forgotten that he was a main event calibre wrestler and he was demoted to a mid card role. When he came to the main roster at first, he was given a run at the WWE United States Championship but later he was demoted to a lower mid card role.
Currently he is mostly seen jobbing alongside his Tag Team partner Dolph Ziggler even though he won the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship one time with Dolph. He has currently been drafted to Monday Night RAW.
Now latest come to the point that Kurt Angle made. Is it possible for Roode to become a WWE champion one day? By looking at the current situation and business strategy of WWE, it is hardly possible.
WWE is trying to push only homegrown talents right now and wrestlers who were already famous outside of WWE and they are still working in the promotion will not be pushed anymore, according to reports. Roode was already quite famous outside of WWE, so there is a fat chance of him getting a big push.
Kurt Angle who is a former six times WWE World Champion recently spoke on his Kurt Angle Show podcast where he gave his opinion on former two times TNA World Heavyweight champion Robert Roode. Angle believes that Roode would be a WWE champion soon. He said;
“He had everything it took. From his looks, to in-ring ability, to promo skills, relating to a character that he wanted to do, Bobby was one of the best. I knew that he would have a lot of promise and have a lot of success anywhere he went, WWE, TNA, AEW, it wouldn’t have mattered. Bobby Roode was going to be successful.
“I think that the company is so wrapped up in making sure they’re producing their stars, sometimes they overlook other guys, and it’s unfortunate. But eventually, Bobby will get his chance. I know he’s gotten a lot of chances that didn’t last very long, but I think that he will eventually get his chance, and he will be WWE Champion, eventually.”
