Lacey Evans recently returned to WWE SmackDown after a hiatus that lasted for more than a year due to pregnancy reasons. The WWE Superstar went on to become a mother for the second time in her career. WWE intended to tear up her Sassy Southern Belle heel gimmick during this return as they presented her as a super babyface cum real-life hero.
For weeks now, we have been seeing vignettes around her to get to know about her difficult but inspiring life story with fans. WWE is now once again switching gears as far as Lacey’s plans.

The company had hoped Lacey Evans’ story of inspiration would get her over huge as a fan favorite. For the past few weeks, we have been seeing vignettes where she is telling her story to empower people. But that angle won’t be lasting, long. She will no longer be a good guy and more interestingly, she will also no longer be on SmackDown.
This week’s Raw featured a summarized version of the five Lacey Evans vignettes and now PWInsider has come up with a follow-up claiming that the Smackdown superstars have already been traded to the RAW brand, internally. This could be the reason why WE plugged in her journey on a red brand episode.
Lacey Evans to change character upon arriving on Raw
In more news, Lacey Evans will be working as a heel on the RAW brand. This is interesting since due to her recent vignettes, she has been receiving a strong babyface reaction from the fans. Depending on that, she might expect a get tremendous heel heat on Raw. At present, she is still listed as a SmackDown Superstar on the WWE website which should be changed in due course.
A fan commented on Twitter saying that some of today’s pro wrestling fans might not be able to connect with Lacey Evans and her storyline, but it is inspiring. The WWE Superstar responded to it and stated that this is a storyline for those who only need it.
“Some will love it. Some will hate it. It’s for the ones who need it! [brain emoji] [folded hands emoji] [fist emoji] [heart emoji],” she wrote.
Additionally, Lacey Evans also retweeted several tweets posted by the fans on her timeline to indicate that she’s overwhelmed with the reactions by the WWE Universe.
