Fans enjoying the August 8 episode of WWE Raw were left buzzing with a bizarre backstage segment involving top superstars. Kevin Owens was featured in an interview with Doudrop, Nikki A.S.H. in the backdrop when a car accident went down in the backdrop but interestingly WWE didn’t focus on it to keep the mystery ongoing around it.
During the interview segment on WWE Raw, Kevin Patrick interviewed Owens and allowed the latter to gloat about injuring Ezekiel and sending him away on a stretcher before their match even started. As Owens was talking, a black car in the background drove into a structure in the parking lot with Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. surprised by the action.
The tag team stood inches away from the site of the crash alongside other WWE officials who arrived at the scene of the crashed car to inspect things. WWE camera never focused on the scene but rather crews cut back to the interview with Owens implying as if nothing really went down in the background.
Afterward, Alexa Bliss and Asuka were being interviewed at the same backstage spot when the crashed car was being loaded onto a truck with a bunch of police spotted at the scene. Later the night, former WWE NXT Superstar Dexter Lumis returned on TV and he’s being accused of what transpired through those parking lot segments.

Car crash segment on WWE Raw related to Dexter Lumis’ return?
Following the main event bout between AJ Styles and The Miz on WWE Raw, cameras showed that the security team was detaining someone. The camera never focused on the person but snaps showed that it resembled Lumis.
Just after WWE Raw went off the air, Indi Hartwell, the former kayfabe wife of Lumis, reacted on Twitter with a thumbs-up emoji indicating that her former on-screen husband is back on the scene. NXT announcer Wade Barrett also seemingly confirmed that the newest induction to WWE’s main roster was Lumis.

While nothing has confirmed that Lumis was responsible for the earlier car crash segment on WWE Raw but speculations are rife about it on social media. This return was also speculated for the next few days as Triple H has been appointed as WWE’s Head of Talent Relations and Head of Creative, last month.
Fightful Select also confirmed that WWE was interested in bringing back Lumis. Over the past few weeks, former NXT Superstar IYO SKY, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, and Lumis have returned to WWE hinting at Triple H’s efforts of bringing back his former NXT recruits.
