Over on this week’s WWE Raw, The Judgment Day (Edge, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley) came out to reveal the fourth and the newest member of their group. The leader of the group, Edge showered praise on Rhea and Damian by saying that both these two have grown so much by listening to him.
The newest member of their group on WWE Raw was revealed to be former Universal Champion Finn Balor. Balor said the following upon joining the faction,
“Joining The Judgment Day wasn’t a choice, it was a calling. Finally … I can see clearly.”
To the surprise of the WWE Universe, Priest said they wanted to remove the last remaining limitation that is holding them back – Edge. The whole group then turned on Edge and delivered an onslaught attack on the WWE Hall of Famer who had to be stretchered out of the arena as Balor will become the new leader of the group on WWE Raw.
It appears that Cody Rhodes’ injury at Hell in a Cell played a major part in changing plans of The Judgment Day on WWE Raw and putting Balor to be the new leader of the faction. An additional update from Fightful suggests that WWE originally had a different supernatural pitch for Judgment Day and Edge wasn’t getting agreed to the pitch.

Edge had creative differences with WWE Raw officials
WWE Raw creative team wanted the group to move in a different direction and the Rated R Superstar wasn’t getting along with the idea. Balor was then selected as the new leader but Edge was still factored into the plan involving the group,
“Although that was firmly set on Monday, the pitch to have Balor as a member of Judgment Day came well before that. Fightful sources had indicated to us the week prior that Balor was set to turn heel and join the group days before Hell in a Cell. However, there was no mention at that point of Edge leaving the group.”
It was noted that the exchange of roles between Balor and Edge was finalized just hours before WWE Raw went on air, this Monday night. Via this bygone attack, Edge will now be out of action for at least a few weeks before seeking vengeance on the heels. Future matches against Balor and Priest are likely to be happening around this summer.
