Over the past few weeks on WWE Raw, Edge has been teasing that he’s looking out for the newest and fourth recruit for The Judgment Day. He posted numerous photos on social media of many former and current WWE stars as the fourth recruit in order to make the stable, stronger than ever.

Ultimately, the tables were turned on the 11-time World Champion during this week’s WWE Raw as he was kicked out of the faction. In his absence, a new leader was picked for the faction who was also revealed to be the fourth member.

During the June 6 episode of WWE Raw, The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley turned on Edge and claimed that Finn Balor is their new member. The first-ever Universal Champion, Finn Balor came down to the ring and proclaimed that he got a call to join the group led by Edge. To shock the world, Damian Priest attacked Edge, leading to Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor joining in on the beatdown.

The beatdown saw Priest power bombing Edge through the announcer’s table, giving him a Glasgow Grimace with a broken chair leg before finally nailing him with a Con-Chair-To, a pendant move of the Rated R Superstar. Following the attack, the WWE Hall of Famer had to be stretchered out of the arena.

The Judgment Day’s gloating went even bigger on WWE Raw during the finishing sequences as Rhea Ripley ended up winning the Fatal Four Way main event on to become the Number-One contender to Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship. Ripley vs. Belair was made official for the upcoming Money in the Bank premium live event.

It appears that this kayfabe attack on Edge was performed on WWE Raw to write him off for the time being, though it’s yet to be confirmed. But he reportedly has a limited schedule on his WWE contract and it makes sense that WWE would want to keep him away for at least a few weeks.

He has recently wrestled in three consecutive premium live events – WrestleMania 38, WrestleMania Backlash and Hell in a Cell and the assumption is that he could potentially return in time for the July 30 SummerSlam event in Nashville to get his revenge on Finn Balor and Damian Priest.
