WWE brought the third episode of WWE Raw following WrestleMania 37 as the builds for WrestleMania Backlash continued. A huge change to the WWE Title Match and the return of WWE Champion Bobby Lashley were the highlights of the night. We also expected fallouts from Charlotte Flair’s suspension from last week as the show aired from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. Check out the results,
– Braun Strowman participated in the opening match of WWE Raw against former RETRIBUTION members T-BAR and MACE in a two-on-one Handicap Match. It ended via DQ as T-BAR and MACE kept attacking Strowman denying the referee’s instructions. Drew McIntyre then made the save and it was turned into a Tag Team Match.
Roman Reigns Reaches Milestone As Current WWE Universal Champion
– T-BAR & MACE eventually defeated the team of Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre via Count-Out. Strowman was irate about the outcome of the match as he took McIntyre out with a Running PowerSlam.
– The Miz, John Morrison, Elias, and Jaxson Ryker performed “Hey Hey Hop Hop” Unplugged. Damian Priest and The New Day – Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods came out and threw tomatoes at them in a funny segment.
Charlotte Flair Rips Apart Dave Meltzer Over Plastic Surgery Comments
– Damian Priest and The New Day then teamed up against The Miz, Elias, and Jaxson Ryker in a six-man tag team match on WWE Raw. The babyface team picked up the win after Woods secured the pinfall for his team by rolling up Ryker.
– SmackDown Official Sonya Deville appeared on WWE Raw to mention how Adam Pearce rushed to suspend Charlotte Flair last week, but she wanted to hear from Flair’s side of the story. The Queen came out and apologized to Referee Eddie, Pearce, and the WWE Management for her wrong deeds. Eddie accepted her apology that paved the way to lift Flair’s suspension.
Deville said that Charlotte Flair paid her $100,000 fine and her suspension won’t be in effect, anymore. She said Charlotte will have a match later the night where referee Eddie will be the match official. Charlotte then demanded an apology from Eddie for misjudging last week, and he issued one.
– Drew McIntyre vs. Braun Strowman got announced for the main event of this week’s WWE Raw with the stipulation that if Strowman wins, he will be added to the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania Backlash between Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre.
– United States Champion Sheamus issued an Open Challenge and for two weeks in a row, Humberto Carrillo accepted it. The match never started as the two fought before the bell rang. Humberto took out Sheamus this time with a suicidal dive.
WWE Raw Results (26/04/21): Bobby Lashley Returned
– MVP and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley came out to the ring to mention that the latter felt disrespected for not being consulted before WWE setting up the main event match which could potentially add Braun Strowman to the WWE Title match at WrestleMania Backlash. Lashley mentioned that he will be watching the match up close but at the end of WrestleMania Backlash, he’d still the WWE Champion.
– Angel Garza gave flowers to Nia Jax, backstage. Nia then attacked Mandy Rose with the flowers and advised her to put them in water. Later, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke threw a bucket of water on Nia Jax and made her fall to seek revenge.
– Randy Orton said Riddle kind of earned his respect last week as he picked up a pinfall win. So he wanted to give their Tag Team “RK-BRO” a chance on WWE Raw. RK-BRO (Randy Orton and Riddle) then defeated Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin in a tag team match where Riddle got the pin on Shelton with a Floating Bro.
– RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler featured in a six-person tag team match against Asuka, Lana, and Naomi to pick up the win. Jax delivered a Legdrop on Lana to get the pinfall win.
– Alexa Bliss cut a backstage promo saying that Lily is her BFF, who is a devil and an angel, at the same time. Alexa said that Lily is getting restless and it’s time to unleash Lily on the WWE Universe.
– Charlotte Flair defeated Mandy Rose in a singles contest. Flair hit a Neckbreaker, sent Mandy face-first into the ring post, and connected with the Natural Selection to secure the win.
– Braun Strowman defeated Drew McIntyre in WWE Raw main-event match. Bobby Lashley, MVP, T-BAR, and MACE got involved to distract McIntyre when he was looking forward to executing the Claymore Kick. Braun capitalized planting McIntyre with the Running Powerslam for the pin to win. Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Braun Strowman in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania Backlash was confirmed before WWE Raw went off the air.
