Over the past few years, WWE and Sasha Banks had their fair bit of disagreements and hence there had been some ups and downs. Despite being a champion, the top WWE Superstar once again is having fallouts with the company. In fact, reports claim that she walked out of Raw TV taping in Norfolk which forced WWE to make changes to the main event and issue a press release to address the matter.
WWE Raw kicked off with several new matches being announced and the lineups included a six-pack challenge to determine the new number-one contender for the RAW Women’s Championship. The original match was supposed to feature WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Naomi and Sasha Banks, Asuka, Becky Lynch, Doudrop, and Nikki A.S.H. The winner was to be named the new challenger to Bianca Belair and the match was set to take place at Hell in a Cell.

Moving on, that match got abruptly changed early on in the show when on-screen WWE Official Adam Pearce altered the lineup to a singles match between Becky Lynch and Asuka to determine the number-one contender. Not much explanation was given during the live TV episode but reports soon surfaced about what could have changed the matchup.
Sasha Banks Reacts To Former WWE Diva’s Grandma Being Obsessed With Her
PWInsider first reported some insight into what was going on backstage on Raw. Sasha Banks apparently complained about her issues with certain creative ideas pitched for last night’s show. She requested a meeting with Vince McMahon, which she was granted. Apparently, a request was filed by the superstar to change the lineup but Vince stood by his own creative vision, leading her to leave the arena.
WWE’s clarification over Sasha Banks walking out of Raw main event match
WWE then offered a statement saying that Sasha Banks and Naomi relinquished their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, saying that they aren’t respected as a tag team. They apparently also claimed that they felt unsafe sharing the ring with two certain competitors,
“They claimed they weren’t respected enough as tag team champions. And even though they had eight hours to rehearse and construct their match, they claimed they were uncomfortable in the ring with two of their opponents – even though they’d had matches with those individuals in the past with no consequence.”
As noted above, this isn’t the first time that Vince McMahon and Sasha Banks shared their disagreements and haven’t come to terms. The Legit Boss previously wanted her release from WWE following WrestleMania 35 but Vince advised her to take an extended vacation after which she would eventually make her comeback to the company in 2019.
