WWE has previously announced that Charlotte Flair has suffered a “fracture of the radius” and due to this, she will be off TV for an indefinite timespan. The injury occurred during her I Quit match against Ronda Rousey at WWE WrestleMania Backlash where she also lost her Smackdown Women’s Championship to The Baddest Women on the Planet.
A subsequent update was then provided by Fightful Select that confirmed that this injury was very much a storyline angle. The kayfabe injury was booked to have Ronda Rousey take Charlotte Flair out of storylines via which the new champion is claiming to have broken her opponent’s arm to win the Smackdown Women’s Title.
The source also noted that the WWE creative had been told that Charlotte Flair was taking a little time away and it’s unknown how long her break is going to last. In more update, Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that she indeed has plans to marry her fiancée, AEW star Andrade El Idolo, in the coming weeks.

Charlotte Flair to get married over the 2022 Memorial Day weekend
The power couple of professional wrestling will reportedly be tying the knot this month, itself. Dave Meltzer of WON notes that Andrade and Charlotte Flair intends to marry over this upcoming Memorial Day Weekend — May 27 – 30. The WWE Superstar already has already covered the setting and attire for the ceremony, since early in the engagement.
“We have a date, it’s this summer in Mexico. I have my dress,” Charlotte Flair previously stated in an interview with BT Sport. “I think Manny (Andrade) would be a little angry if I walked down the aisle with my title. He was like, ‘Mami, for the wedding, I do not want your hair to look like Charlotte.’ I was like, ‘What does that mean?’ Just less makeup, he likes the fresh face.”
Charlotte Flair and Andrade have begun dating in February 2019, and they have been engaged since January 1, 2020. Earlier this year, there have been speculations about the two possibly going separate ways but that wasn’t true as the two continue to prepare for perhaps the biggest day in their life. This will be Andrade’s first marriage while Flair has been married once before this but that ended before she arrived on the main roster of the WWE.
