Despite the broadcaster networks not being happy with recent crossovers between WWE Raw and Smackdown, the trend is not ending anytime soon. After unifying the WWE and Universal Championships, it seems like the tag team titles will also be unified after the cancellation of the match at Wrestlemania Backlash 2022.
WWE Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro – Randy Orton and Riddle have been announced for this Friday’s post-WrestleMania Backlash edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX as they are still looking to become the inaugural Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. It’s evident that the ongoing title unification storyline will continue to progress in the coming episode.

Orton and Riddle then discussed how the originally planned WrestleMania Backlash match against SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos for the unification of WWE Raw and Smackdown tag team titles never took place. That match was eventually changed to the six-man bout but Orton and Riddle say they are headed to SmackDown this week to issue a demand to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Riddle added if Reigns denies the title unification match then it will prove that he has no confidence in his cousins. Orton also mentioned that Reigns tore up the contract for the title unification match on last week’s SmackDown because he knew that The Usos can’t outlast Team RK-Bro.
Orton and Riddle were eventually interrupted by The Street Profits, who made it clear they wanted to be the WWE Raw tag team champions and then face The Usos in the title unification bout. Orton and Riddle put the titles on the line in the opening match against The Street Profits came up short and they retained.
It was later confirmed that WWE Raw tag team champions will indeed be heading to SmackDown to confront The Bloodline and demand the title unification bout to happen. There’s no concrete update on when the Winners Take All Title Unification Match will take place. WWE Hell in a Cell is the next Premium Live Event and that could be a perfect place to host it.
