Several changes have been noticed on WWE Raw/Smackdown under Triple H’s creative plans since he took the charge back in July. Fresh insertions were done to the roster to shake things up for good which was missing under Vince McMahon’s creative control. Some of the neglected superstars can really be hopeful about getting pushed in the future to make a name for themselves.
One of those names is considered to be Finn Balor who never hoped to do big when Sr. McMahon was in charge. But The WWE creative team reportedly has “significant plans” in place for the top WWE Raw Superstar that could make him one of the marquee players of the show.

According to an update from WrestleVotes, Balor is “a strong favorite of the new leadership group” led by Triple H. It was also cited that the expectation is that the leader of Judgment Day will “play a big role in the foreseeable future of WWE.”
The report did not specifically mention WWE’s exact plans for Balor but after a long time, the Irish Superstar has been in a favorable position in his WWE career. He’s also been enjoying a winning streak over the past few weeks on WWE Raw. In late summer, he had scored pinfall victories against the likes of Matt Riddle and Rey Mysterio.

Finn Balor vs. Edge feud continues on WWE Raw
Needless to say, the ongoing feud of Judgment Day with WWE Hall of Famer Edge is working wonders for Balor. Judgment Day did end up losing to Rey Mysterio and Edge at Clash at the Castle but counting TV and Live Events, Balor was on a 7-match winning streak. But they soon sought payback on Edge by attacking him on WWE Raw.
AJ Styles also fell victim to Judgment Day for not joining them despite being urged by Balor on repetitive occasions. Later Balor was confronted by a returning Edge to back up Riddle in a 4-on-1 attack on WWE Raw at the hands of the heel faction. Edge ended up challenging Balor to an “I Quit Match” at the upcoming Extreme Rules premium live event which was confirmed by the WWE.
Going by the recent updates from Xero News, WWE intends this match from WWE Raw to push as the main event match of Extreme Rules 2022. If that’s the case then Balor will possibly move into the main event scene in the WWE for the first time since 2016 when he became the first-ever Universal Champion.
