This week’s SmackDown started as all six qualified men for Money in the Bank were seen inside the ring. Five of them were on top of ladders, only Omos was standing down in the ring. They kept on arguing on who could win the ladder match. Everyone talked about their own possibilities.
The Miz came out to the arena and claimed that he should fill the vacant spot in Money in the Bank ladder match. Ezekiel came out next followed by Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss who made the same claim. Adam Pearce appeared and announced an old fashioned Battle Royal to determine the last participant in Money in the Bank ladder match this Saturday.

Match 1 – Happy Corbin won the 10 man Battle Royal
As we have said during the episode of Monday Night RAW, Battle Royals are always fun to watch. In this Battle Royal there are mostly big stars. So it was even more fun. In this Battle Royal all 6 participant of Money in the Bank were involved, including the other four men who were claiming for the vacant spot.
Omos dominated the early part of the match as he eliminated Ezekiel, Madcap Moss and the Miz early. Riddle, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus teamed up to eliminate Omos. Riddle got eliminated next by Sheamus. Sami Zayn got eliminated next by Drew. Happy Corbin who were hiding outside of the ring eliminated Drew and Sheamus together at the end.
The New Day at the Viking Raiders were scheduled to have a match against each other. But the match could never take place as The New Day was cutting a promo and The Viking Raiders interfered and beat them down. The match could never take place.
Match 2 – Alexa Bliss, Asuka and Liv Morgan defeated Shotzi, Lacey Evans and Raquel Rodriguez
It was the six woman tag team match and it was booked for 10 minutes. Such matches are supposed to be babyfaces vs heels. But the management was so bad that the teams had to be mixed between babyfaces and heels. Almost all of them were babyfaces. Becky Lynch remained outside of the Ring during the match. Liv pinned Shotzi with the Oblivion Face First to earn the victory for her side.
Backstage Sonya Deville met Adam Pearce and expressed her anger for whatever happened last week. She slapped Adam Pearce right into the face at the end of this backstage segment.
Next up was a Q & A segment featuring the WWE Tag Team champions The Usos and their challengers for Money in the Bank The Street Profits. Honestly it was a boring segment and it did not become violent at the end.
Finally, Max Dupri’s Maximum Male Models segment took place tonight on Friday Night Smackdown. He introduced two members as of now, one of them were Mace who will now be addressed as Ma.çé and Mansoor who is now Man.sôör. they had walks like they were walking on ramps. It was the fun segment. This is something quite unique, and we are pretty sure that girls will love it.
Match 3 – Fatal 4 Way Money In The Bank Qualifying Match – Madcap Moss defeated Ezekiel, The Miz and Happy Corbin
The main event of the night was booked for nearly 9 minutes and was a fun match. Nobody in particular dominated the match. At the end of it, Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Ezekiel, as he was about to pin him, Corbin took him out and hit Skull Crushing Finale on Ezekiel. Madcap quickly took out Corbin and pinned Ezekiel for the win. Madcap Moss celebrated as this week’s SmackDown went of air.
Overall, it was not a bad episode of Friday Night Smackdown. But once again there was no World Championship segment which was the huge disappointment. But since there is no world championship match in Money in the Bank we can accept that. The backstage segments for The Smackdown women’s Championship were disappointing as well. It was not good enough for a go home show.
The Maximum Male Models segment was quite fun. The Battle Royal that the opened the show was fun but Happy Corbin winning it does not make any sense. What was the point of that battle Royal? And it was won by someone who had nothing to do with Money in the Bank. It was a bad decision to have him win since it was the go home show. The last fatal 4 way match was good as well. Hopefully, Madcap Moss would be a great addition. We give it 2 stars out of 5.
