Before the next match of Smackdown, Shinsuke Nakamura was interviewed by Kayla Braxton where he was asked about his final thoughts before his big match against Karrion Kross which is up next. Nakamura called Kross for the war and made his entry to the ring. Michael Cole reminded everyone of the dance of Pat McAfee during the previous day entrance is of Nakamura. We seriously miss his dance.
The next match was between Shinsuke Nakamura and Karrion Kross. The match had been teased and built up for weeks. Seriously believe that this match should have been booked at Backlash. Both wrestlers are capable of delivering great matches, so why not book this match in a pay per view event?

WWE Smackdown 05.05.2023 Ratings & Analysis Part 5
About the match, it was not only a good match but the best fight of the night. Both performers were really on top of their game. But on a pay per view event, it would definitely be a better match. Nakamura pick up the victory and we think he needed this victory more than Kross, let us explain why we think this.
Ever since the king of Strong Style returned to action, he had been presented as an upper mid card. It looks like he is finally going to receive his unfinished push, and as long as he had been drafted to Monday Night RAW, he can definitely be presented as a potential threat for the new World Heavyweight Championship.

Most of the fans and media sources are not even counting Nakamura as a potential champion. Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, and Cody Rhodes are currently the favorite to win the new World Heavyweight Championship. But the way they are building Nakamura, he can definitely be the champion as well and maybe this is the reason he is receiving a strong booking.
About the match, it was pretty good. As we mentioned above, it was the best match of the night. We would not say it was a pay per view standard match, only if it received a little longer booking time. Nakamura received a clean victory in this match as he pinned Kross with the Kin Shasa.

But what would happen to Karrion Kross next? As long as he is drafted to SmackDown, there are fat chances that he would ever get a World title shot against Roman Reigns. His the recent record is not very good either, so he is definitely not a main event star. Maybe WWE had big plans for him when they signed him, but surely he is now and afterthought.
As it has been announced that both RAW and Smackdown starts would be participating in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament, Karrion Kross will surely be part of it, but there is no chance of him winning it. We hope he gets a decent main event push. At least he deserves that.
