This week’s Smackdown started as Sasha Banks came out to the arena. She welcomed everyone and announced it was boss time again on Smackdown. She said that she would take her spotlight from Bianca Belair. She claimed that she exposed Bianca Belair last week and she would take the Smackdown Women’s title back from her.
Bianca Belair came out. She claimed that it was her who made Sasha shine at WrestleMania 37. She tried to attack Sasha but Sasha escaped. She accepted Sasha’s challenge.

Zelina Vega came out and said it was her who deserved a title shot before Sasha Banks. Bianca said she would see Sasha Banks at Summerslam and she would face Zelina Vega tonight and it would be for the title.
Match 1 – Jey Uso defeated Dominik Mysterio
It was a short and average match. Dominik was quite impressive in this match. Rey knocked out Jimmy Uso outside during the match which distracted Dominik as Jey took the advantage of the situation.
Match 2 – WWE Intercontinental Championship – King Nakamura defeated Apollo Crews by DQ, Apollo retained
The match was weak. But it was a good way to build up a feud between the two individuals. A title match between the two at SummerSlam would be fun to watch.
Match 3 – Tegan Nox defeated Tamina
Another short match to start a new feud. And anothet roll up finish. It sometimes feels that it is mandatory for WWE to book at least one roll up finish every week on both shows.
Edge came out next. He said Seth Rollins was not here tonight. And it was good for him since he would have turned up in jail if he could get his hands on Seth. Seth showed up in the big screen and exchanged some words then Edge challenged Seth at SummerSlam. Seth kept making fun of Edge, Edge then provoked Seth as he accepted the challenge.
Match 4 – The Street Profits defeated Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode
This was a good tag team match and finally tag team match to become a world the number one contender for the Tag Team titles which did not feature the Tag Team Champions. Montez Ford pinned Dolph Ziggler with a Frog Splash.
Match 5 – Bianca Belair defeated Zelina Vega
It was announced to be a title match first but then it was changed to be a non title match. The match was good, it was mostly dominated by Bianca Belair. At the end she pinned Zelina with the Kiss of Death.
Match 6 – Finn Balor defeated Baron Corbin
It was quite an easy victory for Finn Balor. Not the very good main event it was to be honest. He pinned Corbin with his finishing maneuver Coup de Grace.
After the match, Roman Reigns came out. He taunted Finn and told him not to be disrespectful towards him. As he was I was about to leave the ring Balor pushed him out. The Usos interfered and beat down Finn Balor. Balor fought back as Roman came back and started fighting Balor.
As Balor was coming out strong, Once again Usos attacked him. This time he could not fight back. It was a three on one assault and Balor was knocked out. This week SmackDown was over as Roman Reigns at the Usos stood tall on Finn Balor.
Overall it was an average show. A total of six matches were booked but the show did not rely on matches but on promos and segments mostly. None of the matches was very impressive either except the Tag Team match and the Bianca Belair vs. Zelina Vega match. We give this show a 2.5 out of 5.
